You do require certain percentage but in India reservations play a major role

So 60% and in some courses even students with below 60% got admission

In India for professional courses like Engineering, Doctor, Law etc. 12th marks doesn't matter.

It is only minimum marks that 60% required to be eligible to give the exam for these courses.

&

Then the people getting highest marks and percentile gets the best colleges.

12th marks r only required when u want to to basic hons and all.

Less than 90% -95% won't get u a good college in India.

&

Ya there r reservations if u r in that group then u can get the best colleges for 60% too.
