Vanraj was not just cheating on Anupama but he also emotionally abused her for 20 something years. He oppressed her and humiliated her in every way possible. So it is only understandable why he was rejected by audience. Same cannot be said for Fateh, at least not yet. Vanraj was always shown as a cruel guy. But Fateh has his moments of goodness. Fateh is a pathetic guy but still he is not a monster like Ravanraj (at least not for TRP audience).
