Ani probably decided to adopt that tradition because he now knows what it is like to not afford the kind of wedding he wanted to give Bon... Also, in CN, Kali Dadi also effectively sponsored Rudhi's wedding with no ulterior motive... So Ani probably wants to pass on the favour...
