True, but learning Gujarati (especially few words here and there is really not that hard). They are similar to Hindi and if it comes up in a script they just have to read it.

Phrases like these can be thrown inhere and there especially since they do kaand pe kaand and it's Pandya STORE!

+KD is mumbai kid, that too malad/ kandivali/ borivali belt - gujjuhood. Both Dbhai's have gujju friends - am sure they know basics.

Hails, assuming PS spies are lurking in IF, we should make a post in the MF about the Navratri celebration and how important it is for Gujarati culture,

I can make it but want to wait until after the dahi handi track, sometime in the middle of September. Also Navratri this year falls between Oct 7 and 15th.

Atleast Hails didn’t know only about the song, I did not know there was a movie made with that name😆

My last Salman movie in theaters was Hum Dil De Chuke Hain Sanam in a single screen in the first week of it’s release back in 1999. Since then I have avoided his movies like plague except 1 or 2. I can’t stand him anymore😆

Btw Prema, I chatted with a Hulu rep and asked to pass a message for episodes being available on Hulu at 8.30 pm ET as it was under HS. Not that they can make much difference, but she said she'll pass on the message as they're now managing that content.

Hope it goes back to normal..

As you know only Shiny and Krutika are native speakers. KD in an earlier interview accepted that he don’t know a word of Gujarati. In hindsight they should have had the story based in one of the Hindi speaking states like UP, MP or even Bihar would have been fine. I am not sure what made them choose Gujarat

I am looking forward to a proper Navratri celebration because they have the habit of ruining special occasions😕

True Prema, Gujaratis have a strong business acumen! My husband and his side of family have so much of knowledge in investment, business, shares I am sometimes shocked and feel out of place when they discuss about it in depth!

I think the reason why they showed a Gujarati background is the store! Even in Mumbai maximum stores and shops right from grocery, sweets to jewelry, diamonds you name it and its owned by a Gujarati! I think thats the only reason they chose a Gujju family.. but yea KD should know basic Gujarati since he was born and brought up in Mumbai. “Shu Che”, “Kem cho” are like these basic terms which I believe he should know and would love to see him use those in his dialogues!😍
