By now, I have no faith that any moral disagreement between Raghav and Pallavi will transform their relationship or grow their characters. It will be as superficial and forgettable as everything else in the four months since Pallavi lost her family. Pallavi will be helpless and pliant, Raghav will strut and fume irrationally, and they'll dress up to make eyes at each other.
In the early episodes, Raghav would play all sorts of dirty tricks on Pallavi's business and Pallavi would only fight fairly, somehow find a way out, and convince him to back off. It was interesting to watch their gradual transformation. Raghav, who saw powerful people as rivals, destitutes as his own people to protect, and middle class people as contemptible, couldn't confine Pallavi to any category. She was his rival and someone to protect and unapologetically middle class - the only person who could make him take back a gift. Meanwhile, Pallavi was embracing new ideas like online marketing and charging double when she caught Seema trying to cheat her.
It would have been fascinating to see a natural progression of their love: Raghav remorseful for his cruelty to Pallavi; standing up as her friend against Sulochana; finding comfort in Pallavi so that he manages not to lose his temper or get drunk; behaving respectably to convince her family to accept his marriage proposal ... all while Pallavi takes action to avenge herself against Raghav; discovers his past and how many people love him; enjoys being irresponsible with him; realizes that she feels protective of Raghav.
By rushing into marriage and declarations of love, the creative team sacrificed Pallavi's character (and Jaya's, Kirti's). Pallavi's passions and principles are forgotten, and Raghav is no longer torn between his ambition and his need for moral approval; he has it all. I have been so dissatisfied with the show's failure to explore Pallavi and Raghav as conflicting personalities rather than pretty people, I wrote a fan fiction to address it, and joined this forum to share it:
Meanwhile, what I follow on screen is so frustrating, I know I should stop watching already. In today's episode, Pallavi's Āī was frantic because her son was about to be shot and killed before her eyes by Raghav, and Pallavi just kept on dancing! These characters and situations are totally unrelatable to me, and I don't think I can write or even imagine a satisfying story for them.
