Esha, I did not take up the offer as I already have a Hulu with Ads account which now costs $13.99/mo with one month free trail, but you might get an offer. I still have the Hotstar account, not sure when they will deactivate it.

As soon as I logged into my account ,searched and found PS page. Currently they have episodes 175-190 uploaded and the rest are still in Hotstar. I am hoping they will transfer all the episodes to Hulu soon.

There is no need to get Hulu live as it is a rip off (costs $72.99/m plus tax)

Either get Hulu with Ads ($13.99/mo) or Hulu without Ads($19.99/mo). I have the former.

I stayed awake to figure when the episode will be uploaded. One of the members posted that she saw the episode in Hulu, looks like she is from PST. That’s when I checked and they did it between 1-1:30 am, which is almost 5 hrs after our original upload time in Hotstar US. I am also hoping this will be streamlined to coincide with Hotstar India upload soon.

I am planning to watch the episode in Insta or other sites recommended by members during LU. Keeping fingers crossed to have Hulu upload the episodes at the same as India.

Thank you so much Prema 🤗 So I just reactivated my old Hulu account (ad supported) for one month free trial and $5.99 a month. If it’s not too bothersome with the ads, I’ll keep this since the price is good. Or I might upgrade to the $11.99 a month. I guess your subscription cost is different because you are an active member. I do remember Hulu costing more when I initially signed up. Maybe this is a limited offer? They have been trying hard to get me back since I have cancelled 😆 Thanks for the tip on Hulu Live. Glad we don’t need that one. I used to have it during FIFA World Cup and it’s a rip off. Too pricy for no reason.

Esha, I get my Hulu for free with my Sprint subscription which is now T-Moblie. I only pay for special sports packages/tournaments/matches that my son wants to watch. It is still Ad supported but he sports packages are not, I get PS through my Hulu which was what I watched after 5 hrs of the usual upload time.

Nice! Yeah I feel like 5.99/month is reasonable. I don’t mind paying that to watch SP shows. Are there a lot of ads? I haven’t watched the episode yet but will do so tonight. I’ll end up watching a day late but my routine will remain the same. One episode each night haha except I’ll be watching the one everyone has already seen the day before which is fine. I don’t mind spoilers lol

$5.99/month is still reasonable. I am sure you got that because you are a returning customer. For new customers they are charging more.

I only got couple of Ads just like my HS account. It wasn’t bad at all and the video is still good.

You will get the episode by 1 am EST but it’s too late for some of us living in the EC. I still have hopes that after the transition and once they settle, we will get the episode at the same time as Hotstar India (6:30 am IST, and 9:00 pm EST), but I could be wrong as well. We’ll see.
Anyway I am planning to be here for LU to knkw what it’s going on and can watch the episode later.

I am still surprised that ZMGA has not moved and so are my regional shows, none of them have moved. I am not sure how I will watch them once Hotstar US is deactivated😕

I agree! Thanks for letting me know! I’m glad it’s not too many ads. I might drop by for LU and then watch the next day. If we get a great episode (highly unlikely at this point), I’ll watch it in the morning or before heading to bed.

So I don’t think Hotstar US will be deactivated until 2022. They might move everything and then shut down. The email did mention a transition period. So I’m guessing it’ll shut down by middle of next year or once they are done transitioning all shows. But who knows... can’t trust them. I hope it’s not a hard shut down. I’ll be quite upset since I’m watching ZMGA regularly and binging old shows. Let’s see what happens.

I saw a list of old shows that are being moved to Hulu from HS. As you said it’s going to be a slow transition which will go on till 2022. I will send the list to you via pm later during the LU.

I’m guessing they will slowly move everything. Maybe they’ll prioritize popular shows first. The current on air ones will be first (new episodes are already in Hulu) and then the rest will follow. Depending on how much time and effort is going into it, it’ll take a few months for sure. At least this time they have all the content in one place. I remember it took forever for Hotstar to come to the US. Hoping they discontinue only after transition is fully complete. I wish they gave us a rough timeline. All this was done too quickly and is a bit unfair considering we pay for Hotstar. A month’s notice would have been nice.

I didn’t even know about it until Kiffs said when we were all here during the LU yesterday and then checked my email. Immediately logged into my Hulu as it is an active account and found the missing episodes there. I agree no prior notification surprised me. The day we get the email and the move started happening.

My question is until they move everything to Hulu, do we have to pay for HS, like say middle of next year. My HS is up for renewal in November, am going to see if they charge my CC as it is set up for automatic payment. I will still need it for my regional shows until they move those as well.

This is all a mess. I know Disney is greedy, looks for opportunities to get money out of its customers be it movies, theme parks, sports packages but never thought they would buy an Indian TV/Media group and making money out of it and ripping customers.

For a new customer Hulu with Disney+ and ESPN+ (for sports, IPL is now moved here) subscription is going to cost more than Hotstar US subscription😕
