When Katan Patel donned the role of MrBajaj, one wondered how hed fit. Make up transform him into the middle age man he played. But he was not paied opposite a mother of 3.

Even I was thinking he'd look younger than Rupali because their characters are supposed to be of same age, this can be a problem. I think they'd ask Rupali to lose weight and change her styling to make them look compatible.

About, Gaurav, I don't think they can do much to make him look older, he literally looks the same age as the actor playing Toshu. He's really handsome and that's probably gonna come in the way of his chemistry with Rupali.

But I'll not judge too soon, I'm curious to see what made the PH think this pairing will work 😆 I just hope I'll be surprised in a good way otherwise this would a complete disaster! I was waiting for Ronit Roy but anyway, I'm willing to give them a chace lets see

He does look younger than her. They should have made his character younger too. That would have been a good storyline. But here he is playing Anu's classmate, so they will most likely age him with makeup.

I am also very curious about the reasoning behind this casting especially considering this is going to be a huge turning point in Anupamaa's life.

Gaurav Khanna has a boyish face while Rupali has a mature face. Someone like Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor would have not only suited her but also has the stature.

I want to see how Anuj's role and mannerisms will be panned out.

Like you said it would have been a different ballgame showing Anu falling for a younger man, but it would be a big gamble for that kind of storyline for Anupamaa. Maybe for some other character would still have been considered.
