yea itās definitely a difficult transition period - I remember being miserable for a good half of my freshman year because I missed my family so much and my roommate was a compete whack case
some of my freshman this year are from the coasts and my heart goes to them - itās a long way from home š
all the parents are usually so shocked when they learn itās not a paid but rather volunteer position š¤£ one of the families I moved in asked me why on earth would I ever do this to myself š¤Ŗš¤£
