4 years is a very long time. The dentist told me I would need it for 1.5 years and that already sounded like long enough to me 🤔. There are no other teeth-related issues except the alignment... but you're right that it can cause problems later on.
I think I'll wait it out a bit.. perhaps go for a clean up after 6 months and see what's the status by then. If correcting my other habits and taking better care of my teeth helps, I might just continue with that.
I agree that women aren't that good at self-care... I personally suck at it. I only start taking things seriously after getting wake up calls such as these. Not a very good habit of course
Did you get an X-ray done? To see condition of the roots?
Also pain bhi hota hai.. depends on case to case though.
You might be able to take care and cleaning up etc done frequently. But think about few years from now - job, kids, family, parents.. how much time will you have for yourself in the future.
