May be you are correct but love itself makes you feel young and his realisation the way he sat on his knees opening his arms as if embracing the new feeling it was beautiful actually.. And then saying it loud in the study, accepting the feelings. That's how he is. I agree with you. There was in fact a similar scene of when Bon was to go to hostel and Ani was reminiscing and thinking about how much he will miss her also...

Secondly, Ani once he makes up his mind is quick to go all in with whichever emotion there is, this has been a trait since pre-leap only.
