Chapter 5.
"Just a bit Sia!! Just a bit!!"
Said Riddhima who was busy guiding Sia in doing some sort of leg movements and exercise near the pool area.
"Perfect!! Look here!! You did it!" She said in an excited tone.
As she looked at Sia, she already found her way too tired and exhausted due to it.
She had scheduled the session for only a duration of 45 minutes, but an over excited Sia had stretched it up to a good hour and also had over exhausted herself.
She signed Mrs. D'Souza to escort Sia towards her room, while she herself sat near the pool, dipping her feet in the water.
She had never thought that the family of a rude or to say arrogant person like Vansh would be so warm and friendly.
Even though she hadn't met Ishani yet, she can say that the remaining i.e Dadi and Sia were too good to her .
She felt an unknown attachment towards them. As if she had met them somewhere. But shrugging her thoughts, she allowed herself to get a bit relaxed. Even though her mind still pondered over Sejal's sudden disappearance, she wanted to forget all her worries. Only for a moment.
But seems like God didn't like her sitting silent, since the very next moment Vansh showed up.
Wearing a white shirt, sleeves rolled up, with a black pant.
She was able to recognize him from his reflection getting reflected in the crystal clear water of the pool.
She swirled her legs inside the water and watched as his image started to get blurred and sort of broken in the water making it hard for her to recognize his reflection.
As the water again started to settled in, she frowned on seeing him disappeared.
But all her worries were allayed, as she felt a strong woodsy, sandalwood cologne hit her nostrils.
She was quick enough to recognize the fragrance. This fragrance belonged to the same person who had provided her his shoulder and had gathered her up in his arms when she had cried herself out.
She looked at her side, to find him too sitting in the similar way as she had did.
She chuckled lightly on seeing him shivering a bit as the cold water hit his skin.
He was about to withdraw his legs when she said, "Give it a bit of time, your body will get accustomed to this temperature."
He did as she told him. But regretted the next immediate moment as he felt the water ice cold.
He looked at her face to see how she was enduring this. But to his surprise, he found her extremely calm and relaxed.
And maybe her words were true, because he could no longer feel the water icy cold but instead, he felt it warm.
They both sat in utmost silence.
While one sat basking it, the other, found his by looking at her calm, serene face.
Breaking the silence he said,
"Dr. Riddhima, how was Sia's first therapy?? How much time will it require for her to recuperate from this paralysis??"
"Right now, I can't say anything. Give me a few more days I would definitely revert back to you with an pleasing answer, Mr. Raisinghania."
She answered.
And then, the silence prevailed. After a long deadly pause, he said,
"Don't call me Mr. Raisinghania!! It makes me feel quite old, which certainly I am not!!"
He said.
She chuckled a bit and said,
"I can say the similar thing if you too don't stop calling me Dr. Riddhima, or Ms. Riddhima!! I am not that experienced you see!!"
She finished with a smile.
Unknowingly a smile adorned his lips as she said so.
Smiling, he said,
"So let's start!! You call me by my first name, while I will call you with yours."
She nodded in agreement.
"Vansh!!" She called out softly.
The way her sweet, honey-like voice called out his name, felt so good!!
The way his name rolled out of her tongue, made him feel his name like a symphony.
"Riddhima!!" He called out gently.
Many had pronounced her name till date, but the way he did, made her feel special.
The way it was called out by his baritone, felt amazing.
She felt butterflies in her stomach. A feeling she was new to!!
Not wanting to end things here, she forwarded her hand,
"Friends!!??" She expected him to accept her offer.
But, she felt rejected after seeing his blank face.
She looked towards the water, with tears brimming and started to retreat her hand.
When she felt her hand getting engulfed in a warm, giant, hand.
Turning her face towards him, she saw him flashing a big smile to her and shaking her hand vigorously. She was also not less to reciprocate his smile with a much bigger and better one which she could have given up till now.
Looking at the tears in the corner of her eyes, he stopped shaking her hand, detaching it, he instead used the same one to wipe the tear which had escaped past her eyes.
Wiping the lone tear that escaped her eye, he said,
"You are my first friend, so I wouldn't tolerate you crying. I would like to punish each and everyone who brings tears in your eyes. Even if it means punishing me!!
She looked at him astonished, and getting the hold of his other hand, she said frantically,
"Never!! Never punish yourself or even others. I can't tolerate seeing any one in pain. And especially a new friend of mine whom I have got while I am on the verge of losing the other!!"
She finished with tears in her eyes.
He looked at her. Giving her a gentle nod, he again rubbed her tears.
They both came out of their trance as Vansh retreated his hand back on realizing their proximity.
They both looked forward to avoid the awkward silence in between them.
Riddhima looked into the crystal clear water finding an unknown peace.
Whereas Vansh looked towards the reflection of her serene face in the water, giving him an unknown peace and providing a serene calm to his heart.
Vansh faked a cough to clear the silence in between them,
"So, let's start with knowing each other!! What's say??"
Asked Vansh.
"Not bad Mr. Raisinghania!!" She laughed.
And the day fell short for them as they kept on knowing and talking about each other. Laughing, crying and smiling their selves out.
"Sir!! We have got an important information regarding Riddhima!!"
Said an exhausted Mishra to Kabir.
Kabir rotated the paper weight in his hand for the hundredth time.
Puffed up, swollen eyes, having bags underneath them indicating the lack of sleep. Messed up hairs, and disheveled clothes, the similar one which he had wore when he had met her last.
While his whole concentration was on the framed photograph of Riddhima which he had kept on his desk.
Picking it up by his another free hand, he caressed it by his thumb, and a lone tear slipped past his eyes.
He closed his eyes and allowed the tears to flow, while he hugged the frame close to his heart.
An exhausted Mishra, huffing and puffing, trying to catch the hold of his breath, looked at his so called senior.
He had always heard that people go mad in love but, he never thought he would be seeing an live example of it in front of him.
How can he tell what sort of obsession Kabir had shown for Riddhima by keeping the whole control room on their toes to track her location down. He neither gave a damn about his senior officials who could question him regarding this search. He himself felt scared for Kabir, but silenced them knowing that Kabir wouldn't attain peace till Riddhima doesn't come back.
Opening his eyes, Kabir looked towards Mishra who was looking at him as he is seeing the most important thing in the world.
Composing himself, but still holding the frame he gestured Mishra to speak up.
Kabir looked at Mishra in shock.
Sheer shock!!
Mouth open, gaping at the new found information.
Hold tightening in the paper weight.
While his eyes red with fury.
That is what he could feel now as he heard the place where Riddhima is.
Shock, confused. But most prominently anger.
