He has ALWAYS been very cruel to everyone except his own family, Bondita got saved from his cruelty later on because she managed to make a place in the heart of everyone in that household and also, she was the adarshwadi bahu he wanted and dreamed of for Anirudh, she was the only one who could keep Ani's fitoor in control.

Agar aaj ki Bondita isko milti as Bahu, Pakka likhe le lo he would be against her because she would not listen to everything he tells her! That is a good comparison. Yes, he does remind me of BV's dadisaa... He has the potential to become a character like her but they have to show that transformation properly. He is too regressive and patriarchal, he needs to change for us to accept him and realize his wrongs like BV's dadisaa did. She became the most ardent supporter of Anandi once she realized what she was doing is wrong and she put her above her own family at times.

Hahaha... Sumati toh phele se hi helpless hi rahi hai yaar, usse toh kab ka umeed chhod diya tha maine. She is a perfect depiction of weak woman who have no agency of their own during those times, she gave up every right the day her husband died and accepts every thing thrown at her without complaint, she has nothing of her except Bondita but usko bhi bali chhada degi because she cannot even defend her properly.

It's just SO surprising that her child is someone like Bondita. I'm guessing Bondita went after her father because I see nothing of Sumati in her.

Aur shaadi se pehle TRC paas ke gaon aaya tha for some Zamindari work aur uski health kharab hogai itni ki Jaan par aa gai ,uss gaon ke kisi bhi vaid ki dawai ne kaam nahi Kia tha . Das family ka family profession Vaid Raha hai isliye wo log inke paas aaye par uss din ghar par Kalindi ke Baba aur Dada nahi the Jo jakar ilaz karde aur Kalindi Ko Vaidya ka kaam aata tha toh ese me usne apni mariyada laahnghi (Shaadi ke pehle Apne hone Wale pati se Mili / kisi mard ka ilaz Kia) , aur iski Jaan bacha Li .

Shaadi ke din yeh saari baat bahar aagai par yeh kisi ne nahi bola ki usne jiski Jaan bachi wo TRC hi tha . Toh TRC ke Baba ne shaadi todh di aur TRC ne bhi apna muhh nahi Khola , to maintain their "Zamindaro wala ruthwa ". Aur pure samaj ne Mana ki Kalindi Shaadi ke pehle Kisi paraye mard ke saath thi

In my opinion what TRC did to Kalindi was so wrong... A woman saved your life... And when it came to you, you did what... You kept mum... You, a Zamindar with so much of Shaan and Ruthba, turned out to be a coward in the moment when you should have been man human enough to say that society was wrong... He made me so angry back then... TM is a regressive woman and there's no denying that...but she is not the main culprit... Once she used to be a girl who assisted her dad... But she saw the cruel side of the society and thought that women should not be bold... because her boldness had cost her dearly...
