Exactly my thoughts. She will rock. I don't have doubt. When they give chart busters to others atleast they should give some hit songs to her. When the original song itself didn't connect to audience what ever SMP does the chance of it connecting it audience is very small. Fans like me who look for her creativity will like irrespective of that but these songs won't catch the eye of general audience. Over that they have not even released her second promo. This season discrimination is common but with SMP its almost every week since powerplay. How do they claim they found a winner when don't even treat everyone equally?

I think SMP herself lost interest in this show. This is semifinal but even then she has not posted her promo not even in insta stories.

In addition I think it’s to promote his movie releasing on aug15 and it’s competitor is Bhuj starring Ajay Devgan. He could use all the publicity for Sid n Kiara starrer.

In live finals, the songs that you sing before and during voting time carry the most value. Millions will only view the Finale. They are not fans of anyone. They vote according to their moment's wish. Fans vote even if you croak. That is your vote bank. The winning votes in close fights come from these finale viewers in my opinion. So whoever swings the crowd during the 12 hours is going to have an edge. Because it is 12 hours, they will have multiple performances and it is like having a pre final episode plus finals.

So may the best win. All are deserving and in reality the winning/losing is already over because this is a career building platform and that is result independent.

The timings on these days are still ambiguous, right? Viewing is going to be a challenge 😆 If there’s 12 hrs of screening, imagine the number of hours shooting. The contestants would have been sleeping between shoots 😆

Based on the fact that finals voting is usually many times more than regular weekly voting (though you may get 100 votes instead of 50 to finger in) and as the show usually tops the TRP charts for the weekend, it is a reasonable assumption. Like I have family at home who watch the show once in a while and say that they will watch the finals. Many have a basic idea about contestants and see how they do on the big day.
Plus, and a big plus, the day is a public holiday and most people are stuck at home. With Covid restrictions many people will time pass watching Idol. Many will vote too.

Karan’s offers and comments should be taken with a pinch of salt. He dosen’t give opportunities to people outside his inner circle. Despite judging various reality shows with exceptional talent whom he praised to the skies I never saw any of those people working for his production.

To me, the break given by HR was to capitalize the popularity of the contestants during the show. I could feel his urgency in releasing the songs before the show ends. Hope he will continue to support all these talented singers. 😊
