You can't just give up on someone because the situation is not ideal. Great relationships aren't great because they have no problems. They are great because both people care enough about the other person to find a way to make it work.

Jahaan, oh, tumne aaj lunch mere saath nahi khaaya, breakup final wala scene rehta hai. That's not what committed, adult relationships look like- when you love someone, and you see them falling weak, you lift them up, you don't let them go to 'teach them a lesson'. Pyaar itna selfish nahi hota. Relationships are about give and take. And yes, they should be balanced. But that doesn't mean that it has to be 50/50 every second of every day. They're both humans with flaws and weaknesses- they'll not be able to come half way everytime. It means that if one is only able to come 30 some day, the other makes it to 70. And vice versa.
