Off topic - So I was really curious to know why many south indian people add prefix/suffix as "Sai" to their name and this is the answer I found on quora 👇
The ‘Sai’ word in Telugu names generally refers to “Shirdi Sai Baba”. The worship of Sai Baba has grown tremendously over the past few decades in Telugu states and hence this usage.
However, it should be noted that there would not be anyone with the name just as ‘Sai’. Generally ‘Sai’ is prefixed to another word and that combinedly would be that person’s “given name”. For example, you have “Sai Karthik”, “Sai Srinivas”, “Sai Pallavi” etc. I have seen some North Indians address people with the above names as “Sai” which would be odd to native people as those people are generally addressed with their full name.
No wonder SKR prefers to be called as Ketan since that's his real name but mostly people call him Sai only 😄
