There isn't any explanation unless Fateh's redemption start after Tejo suffers a miscarriage.

I just dont know why pregnancy track so early. Makers hv shown them quite young in show. So why to make them parent nd then repeat the loop of boring tracks.

Consummation might be for Tejo's heartbreak to be worse or like you said Fateh's guilt to increase nd when Tejo will leave him, he'll realize the mess he has created for himself.
