I don't think he is playing, nothing indicated in any of the scene today. Don't know if makers will take U-Turn suddenly one fine day to justify his act today...🤣

But what is the need of this act, he could have simply went to Tejo and told her and she would have believed him blindly as she is believing his every lies right now. I don't think he is acting, he is following his heart which he should have done before involving poor Tejo in this mess.
