It is such a coincidence, in his previous serial when his wifey's ex had come along he was yet to realize that he was in love, but he was sure that there was something fishy with the ex. His turmoil when he thought that he will have to give up on his marriage as that was what was right by her , but at the same not being able to let go was so correctly portrayed by Ashok. It was this tussle that actually led him to uncover the ex's truth.
