Episode 24 and 25

Finally, the makers had some sort of mercy and indeed the story started to move, thankfully, and a lot happened today, the episodes were brilliantly edited (rare from KAM3 team post 12th episode) and instead of having redundant and useless scenes of unwanted characters, we indeed had story moving forward with the lead in focus, a very good episode indeed.

I do not care, why, how and where, but I am glad Mahi and her saasu has reunited, for once Mahi's life is free of humiliation and forced gulami, both Iqra and Hina bayat were very good in that scene when they cry and hug, all this is leading to a culmination of Mahi's guilt free iddat and a new beginning for her, the writer has surprised me here, when Taimoor died, the way they showed Mahi's state, it seemed like she will never recover from the trauma and will have Farhad's curse ruin her, but in this episode it indeed was a surprise that instead of going to a more tragic state, here she found a new family, kids, maa ji and the jagirdari is intact, well it seemed like 'Hum saath saath hai' reunion, no villains at all and all happy. I found a scene very cringe worthy, when Mahi told sikka 'bahu kyu beti', it felt like the writer had no legit dialogues left for Mahi, issiliye aisa thakela dialogue dediya, or it was Iqra's acting, something was OFF about that line 😆.

The story is moving to Amma sai fixing Mahi-Sikka marriage, well as much as cringe worthy it is in my head right now, the funniest thing is this all started from a housemaid's idea 🤣. Mahi getting the certificate of iconic bahu has fulfilled her life's purpose and I am sure maa-ji will convince her for the sorcery of a marriage with Sikka. The question is will Sikka agree? I believe so, because his useless silence at Romana's pleas and spineless attitude at being jealous of Farhad-Romana does not make me expect anything better from her. Also, why is he not leaving Romana if he is sure that he cannot accept her at all? What kind of love does he actually have for her? Using her, having physical alliance but making her feel less worthy whenever she asks for a commitment? What the actual fruit? Does the writer think this will bring sympathy for a widowed Sika? If he does, then he is absolutely wrong. I hate to say this, but with each passing episode, my dislike for Sikka increases, the entire jagirdari clan behaves like they can win at anything, play with and use anyone, and then go on a self pity and bechara/bechari mode to grab some titles of evergreen widows? Is it helping here? No.. not at all, in case of Mahi it helped initially when the baddua looked relevant, but now it seems like no matter how many men die or ruin for Mahi, she will always have a suitor, and I really do not know whether her life goals were to get married and settle down as a housewife, but if it was then she can surely choose the safest option, it is just that I expected better from the character's arc.

I think we have talked a lot about Farhad-Romana tonight, but I really want to say that the characters are just two sides of the same coin, in a way it was hinted that Farhad will heal Romana too, and she will be his support here, at least someone who will not judge him based on his past. I absolutely loved how she kept on asking him about his train incident and his grief, these are very small details which should be highlighted between characters when they converse, and as I said earlier, when characters talk they are more believable, which was the case with FeeRom tonight. I want to point out that when Romana met him in the shrine, him breaking down after her question of 'shadded mohabbat ki azeyat' was excellent, the performance was just too natural, it felt like Farhad was still standing in the library holding her bead, he actually cried in the same way, how did that come out so perfectly though? The last time Farhad broke down and cried in front of someone was Fakira, now it is Romana, should I believe even though different aspects here, one was a mother figure and one is more like a friend, the women here saw sharp through his eyes and hit the raw wounds? Also, Romana continuously forcing/triggering him about his past looks problematic at times because he clearly is not interested to even remember that, and reviving the raw wounds on a regular basis looks insensitive at times, I am not saying Romana is wrong because she is curious and genuinely wants to help him, but it is disturbing because I do not think he deserves to remember that humiliation anymore. One more thing which I absolutely loved was how his visiting her place was purely coincidental and it was not a deliberate agreement which made it more believable, and how happy was she to host him there? That happiness to even show him some respect and treat him well will always be precious, it felt so good to see someone stranger treating Farhad with this much respect, how badly I wanted to see someone acknowledging him for the character traits he has, the kindness, the way he is selfless and at times heroic for people's needs, all these qualities which was never appreciated has been seen and treasured by Romana, and she looks like the actual queen of writer's story here. It is unbelievable that the same writer wrote Mahi with zlitch depth, zero arc whereas Romana is written in such a crisp way with so much insight and layers, how is it possible, I will never understand what Hashim Nadeem wanted here, but he surely knows how to write relatable women too and Romana herself is a proof. heck even Mahi's saas had more character arc than Mahi ever had, it is insane when I think about it 🤢

Coming back to Farhad and the dejavu I had off seeing that subtle character traits of the real Farhad (Lahore-wala) in this extremely bitter, self loathing and clueless Farhad, everything was such a joy. His entire gesture with Romana from the shrine till her house, excellent, excellent, I never saw such well written and performed conversation between two characters who are not lovers but yet wins the show here, because in normal cases anybody would think that Farhad-Romana would have a love angle but we are sure they will not and that is the best part of their entire dynamic. From being devastated at her claim that his 'dua' and her 'mannat' was refused, claiming that he knew that he is never heard and the subsequent break down, how well was that built up? Those who complained that how is Farhad's dua being effective while his baddua is not, today the writer himself proved that neither his dua nor his baddua is anything to make a fuss about, he is a normal human being, whose dua and baddua is not changing lives, neither did it shut off Mahi's happiness forever nor did it bring any good things for Romana, and thanking the writer here again that Romana herself along with Farhad claimed it, WOW, unexpectedly a brilliant insight again.

Farhad made me so so proud tonight, the moment he put Romana above class, choice of her job, choice of her lifestyle, he won me again, in this entire show he probably is the only one to claim that a 'bazaru' auraat was as deserving and as respectable as anyone else is and he even said that she is better than him in every aspect. He deserves every happiness for this very selfless and genuine thought itself, Romana's whole face started glowing with joy and she was at loss of words when he said that he never judges anyone based on their looks/work/class/living, and she is equally deserving of everything she wants, this was coming from a man, a very very bitter man who himself faced sever humiliation for his choice of dreams, and he still let the modest and real Farhad see through Romana and indeed put her at pedestal is the most beautiful thing I saw in this entire show, had Romana not been in love with Sikka, she surely would fall for Farhad after tonight, all his stubbornness, selfishness aside, Farhad's insight for Romana on the other side makes me love the character even more, and the writer did not disappoint here at all. The way Farhad ended the meeting was more beautiful, telling Sikka that she can be desired by anyone but she desires only Sikka, again a direct claim to Sikka to grow up a damn spine, well done Farhad, this was necessary.

Episode 24 and 25

Is it only me, does anyone here thinks that the main leads are indeed Fakeer baba and Farhad? If you look at the central story now, Baba is absolutely the driver of what is supposed to be Farhad discovery of belief system in the almighty. Baba is sneaky, like in between subtle conversations he extracted Farhad's name and ohh boy he even ensured that this Farhad is brave, observant with killer eyes, fiery but this Farhad shall never win his shireen, as much as frustrating it is to see everyone reminding Farhad that he is a failed cause in love, this was for the audience and Farhad that it is not necessary that every dream comes true, hence the Fakeer baba already confirmed a sad ending here, our Farhad will not win his shireen (and that is the better way I guess).

The way Fakeer baba asks questions and leaves Farhad stunned for minutes, it gives me a subtle satisfaction that just like us even Farhad is confused, unknown to this place, and he is struggling to cope up too, these are good and small details being build up to the future bonding of mentor-mentee. The best and the supreme message of the episode was when Bab told Farhad that 'The day you stop complaining that why did not Allah listen to you, that very day you will find happiness and peace', absolutely marvelous and I agree with this 100%, for a second Farhad did not know how to react there, but well the message was already given and he absorbed it, This indicates that soon Farhad will go through this process of not being bitter anymore but accepting the Almighty's plans, however, I fear this will only happen post Taimoor's death news breaking in front of him and I really wished Farhad would not go through the grief of being guilty for something where he never had any involvement, but sadly that is how it will be. Whatever it is, the episodes today excited me for future, Farhad's journey of self discovery has truly begun today and he will conquer it in style.

Farhad having a dream about the haveli and his footsteps falling at his beloved’s door, everything in that entire sequence hinted that Farhad is drawn towards the haveli now and he felt a weird discomfort after waking up. This is probably the starting of how he will start thinking about why that haveli is bothering him so much and why’s he restless about Mahi’s doors again.

Last but not the least, I will always be salty about the way writer has made Farhad and Romana demean their own self worth for two people who are undeserving of so much importance, and why only Farhad and Romana here? How is being financially poor and begging for love continuously even relevant? Does that mean only rich people can love and decide whatever they wnat and the people from lower class deserve begging and humiliation? In Farhad's case i told myself that he was deluded and dumb with ONE SIDED feelings but what about Romana? Her case is not any delusion, neither one sided, and she is still begging for a spineless man's validation? How am i supposed to sympathize with Mahi and Sikka if the core arc of their character is based on humiliating someone elses's love and existence? What exactly did the writer try to convey? Never love anyone unless you have name and status and money? Well..... 🤢
