Realistically speaking nowadays, tragic love stories do not really exist that much .. ppl have turned sane to move on .. but such tragedies that are adapted on screen came from old folklore where they did exist once upon a time !!

And people watch realistic stuff happening around them all the time, and look for escapism on screen .. which isnt wrong either..
