Star Plus show ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ is getting all the love and adulations from the fans. The show’s ratings have improved and last week it was one of the TOP 5 most viewed shows. The current track of the show revolves around Devika and Rudra’s wedding. However, Devika has learned the truth of Rudra and Preesha’s past relationship. She is unable to bear the pain caused by her fiancé and her Bhabhi Preesha.

In the upcoming episode, Devika takes a drastic step of ending her life. India Forums got in touch with actress Himani Sahani and asked her about what went behind filming the suicide scene. Himani said, “It was indeed very exhausting. When I read the script, I still composed myself but when it came to filming the same, it was very taxing mentally. Although I was hanging through a harness, but still to imagine yourself as a dead body, it’s not a great feeling. I went through an emotional turmoil thinking about what people would go through just before taking such a step. Visuals and thoughts of Kushal Punjabi and Sushant Singh Rajput crossed my mind several times. Thoughts of the loved ones and the aftermath of suicides started playing in my head. It was quite difficult and draining.”

Devika takes the extreme step of suicide after a heartbreak. To avoid taking such a step, Himani shared her opinion. She said, “I believe, to take the form of a beautiful butterfly, one needs to go through extreme hardships. Caterpillar dies and that’s when a butterfly is born. Similarly, if God is putting us through difficulties, people should understand that He is preparing you for better. It’s just the test of time. One shouldn’t get disheartened and lose hope, rather keeping the faith in God would yield positive results”.

She added, “I’ve also been through hardships, everybody has. I totally credit those tough times for the beautiful life that I’m leading now. So, people should try to look at it this way.”
