Okay so the thing is Star Plus and Sony Tv are actually going A la carte which means they will price their channel anything they want for eg Rs.50. But their will be benefits too as the channel will be catering only premium audience so in terms of content and everything it will be top notch. Guys keep in mind Star and Sony wont back off they had already decided to move to a la carte.

The problem arises for Zee, Viacom and Sun Tv only as they will hardly survive if their channels go a la carte.

Wow yeh Rs 50 bohot jyaada hai jo pehla Rs 19 mein milta tha.I know they are making it premium but SP and Sony TV jyaada charge karenge then audience itna paise kharch karke dono channels lenge kiya.Kahi yeh Rs 50 charge karna SP and Sony TV ke liye musibat naa baan jaye aur audience Zee TV and Colors TV par shift naa jo jaye🤷‍♀️.

Starplus and Sony are highly well established companies so they have channel value. If their prices go higher it means content will be top class like you keep saying all the time. The channel will be probably on subscription model and only people who can afford their channel will subscribe to it. In short, StarPlus and Sony Tv will turn India's first 2 hindi premium channels. The trps wont matter to them anymore and their main focus will be on pleasing the particular audience. Like US channels.

Neon first of all sp & sony ki price 50 tak bilkul nhi hogi jitni hai utni hi rahegi 19-22rs as india ka common man afford nhi kar paayega ye channel and mind it both are mass entertainment channels not premium channels

Premium channels wont work in india bcz premium audience expectations are high and they dont want to spend on hindi GECs like sp & sony.....as they likes to watch hollywood content or should i say they mostly prefer netflix

Second reason is premium audience itna bhi bada nhi ki unke sub revenue se yeh channel apne shows ki value recover kare

So mostly sp nd sony 19-22 hi price rakhenge taaki sab log uss channel ko afford kare

Haa woh a la carte hojayenge as trai is forcing them to cut price of their channel to 12 rs which they dont want at all as its will be loss making deal

So they will go ala carte nd will decide price which will be affordable to both parties (consumer & broadcasters) but dont evn think yeh channel premium hoga ya content badlega as unka identity hi mass channel hai not premium

Whoah ok. But mujhe nahi lagta Rs.22 rahega. I am sure max will be Rs.30 because aaj tak it was Rs. 19-22 only.
