Riya, aapne sheep game me tag kiya tha, intro post me aapne likha hai,
"Sheep doesn't have the concept of "right" or "wrong" answers, so as long as your answer is popular or you share it with even one person, you are good.
Besides, Google Maata is around to bless you."
that means ki majority matter karti hai? aur google search result ke basis par answer choose karna hoga? sorry to bother u abt this but maine kabhi sheep game me participate nhi kiya, isliye uske baare me kuchh pta nhi hai.
Yes Mousy, you are correct. The trick in the game is to think like the rest of the 'junta'.
Isliye Sheep khelte waqt koi right ya wrong answer nahi hota, only most popular answer hota hai.
Mostly, people choose on the basis of google search results, especially if they don't know anything about the topic.
Sabse zyaada log jo answer dete hain, unhi ko points milti hai. Isliye the target is to get the most popular answer!
Aapko sign up karoon? 😳

Today (July 20) also marks the death anniversary of one of my favorite playback singers, Geeta Dutt.
Born in East Bengal, her family moved to Bombay when she was 12 and she was spotted by K. Hanuman Prasad who took her under his wing. Her very first song was for the movie Bhakt Prahlad (1946) but the first movie where she was noticed was under the baton of S.D. Burman, Do Bhai where she sang the poignant Mera Sundar Sapna beet gaya, a certified hit. And Geeta Roy had arrived.
Of course, Lata Mangeshkar was just around the corner, waiting to steal the limelight away from her, still, Geeta managed to hold her own, her distinctive voice set her apart from her peers and the composers who wanted her, wanted her for this unique, special quality that only she had.
She became a rage after Tadbeer se bigdi hui and Baazi. It was during Baazi that she met her future husband, Guru Dutt. Later, after she married him, domesticity and maternal life took over and her career was sidelined. However, she sang some of her best songs during the 50s under the baton of both O.P. Nayyar and S.D. Burman. In fact, it was she that urged her husband, Guru Dutt to give O.P. another chance with Aar Paar, after his first outing Baaz had sunk badly at the box office. O.P.N. was all set to pack his bags and go back to Punjab were it not for Geeta's intervention. Sad, then, that later the very same O.P who swore by Geeta, went on to switch allegiance to Asha Bhosle at the cost of sidelining her.
My absolute favorite Geeta Dutt- O.P.N song I think has to be Ja Ja Ja Ja Bewafa from Aar Paar. I have already waxed eloquent about this song earlier, so I will post another O.P.N-Geeta favorite.
This song had to be axed from the movie because the makers found something objectionable in the lyric 'Fiffy, kuch tere dil mein fiffy" that Majrooh, the lyricist had just put in as a nonsensical word to fit in with the meter of the song! Imagine that! What would these self-appointed, sanctimonious moral police say if they were to hear the lyrics of today's songs?
She also sang some brilliant songs for S.D.B. I have already mentioned Mera Sundar Sapna Beet Gaya.
My absolute favorite is Waqt ne kiya, but since I've already posted that, I'll post a different one. Here's a Lori from Sujata that I still think is the quintessential lori in Hindi films. My aunt still sings it to her granddaughter and she's out like a light in seconds. I remember singing it to my kid when she was baby. It quite simply defines the word 'lori' for me.
She's also sung for M.Ds like C.Ramchandra, Salil Chowdhary, Hemant Kumar, and Anil Biswas. Her voice had a unique quality - she could sound sensual (Babuji dheere chalna), teasing (Jaane kya tune kahi), romantic (Ae dil mujhe bata de), drunk (Na jao Saiyyan), devoted (Ghoonghat ke pat khol), or just soul-searingly steeped in sorrow (Waqt ne kiya - that Amitabh Bachchan has stated as one of his favorite songs ever, it's my husband's favorite too)
Sad that her illustrious career was cut short by her personal problems with her marriage disintegrating and then Guru Dutt's sudden death.
And in the 70s at the fag end of her career, she sang this song with absolute brilliance as only Geeta can do: Mujhe jaan na kaho meri jaan
This song is one of my absolute favorites, I can listen to it on loop. Everything about it is perfect, the minimal music by Kanu Roy, lyrics by Gulzar, Tanuja and Sanjeev Kumar looking stunning together on screen, the picturization with the rain pouring outside and Geeta's voice at the forefront like icing on a cake. Simply sublime!
She died at 41. So young. Makes me wonder what musical treats we'd have been blessed with had she lived longer.
What are your favorite Geeta Dutt songs?
Priya ...Priya , Priyaaa 🤗🤗🤗
This Ja ja ja Bevapha is one of my fav Geeta Dutt's songs.
A sad song which has just flowed from her heart to reach our eyes to bring out tears!

Though the video is different , the feelings and expressions are the same!
Geeta Dutt, the famous singer of the bygone era who gave life to many songs with the magic of her voice and immortalised them forever, breathed her last on July 20, 1972. She was 41. Her filmmaker-husband, Guru Dutt had died eight years before, on October 10, 1964, at age of 39. Geeta, the famous and enormously talented film personality had a short but brilliant career. She left behind so many treasures, that they will be remembered forever by the fans.
Geeta was born on 23 November 1930 in Faridpur district of East Bengal (now in Bangladesh). In 1942, when she was just 12 years old, her parents moved to Bombay. It is said that one day, music director Hanuman Prasad heard her sing and offered her a chance to sing for the film Bhakta Prahlad (1946). During the recording, Geeta stunned everyone in the studio. It was then, that she began her career as a singer.
Geeta became a top playback singer from 'Mera Sundar Sapna Beet Gaya'. In fact, 1947–1949 saw Geeta Roy as the number one playback singer in the film industry. Today, on her Death anniversary, we bring you nightingale’s greatest hits.
Mohabat ka sabak seekho , ye jaa kar jalnewalonse ...
There are times that the emotions feel bruised, and the same way as with a physical bruise, they take time to come up and really show themselves.
Sadness comes as a painful cleanse. It is a chance to detox and reassess what is helping and what is hurting, a chance to make new choices and inform others that every heart has boundaries, needs and vulnerabilities!!
Real love is a protector, a defender, a ride-or-die connection that stays with us for always and in all ways! It is raw and it will roar for you if required...😭 It will stay with you in quietness and be your comfort. Real love will celebrate with you, and raise you up. Real love will be okay with your sadness and kiss the scars you hide from others. It is rare. Treasure it. Keep it as long as live. For real love... sorrow is the greatest blessing heaven can give.
My Geeta Dutt😭,please hear the heart's melodious wail with utmost pain....
Aaj sajan more ang lagalo ..Janam saphal ho jaye
