@bold, haha, far from it, I wish for it, too!
When I was much younger (15-16 years), I loved seeing fluffy, cute romantic scenes. But then, as I grew older I started to appreciate the opposite end of the spectrum more. Romance filled with angst, longing, passion, etc. I don't know when it happened specifically, but I started to appreciate the subtle romantic moments. Ones that don't appear romantic in the slightest; however, when you look back and see the entire picture, you realize how much the main characters loved each other.
It's why I don't particularly love (I like them, but I definitely don't love them) scenes that appear filmy (i.e., atta scene in the store, Shiva gazing at Raavi dreamily). Every time the fan blows Raavi's hair I can't help but roll my eyes at the absurdity (the inner child in me, though, loves it).
My all-time favorite ShiVi scenes were the subtle ones. I loved the scene where Raavi steps in as Shiva's proxy and no one in the family adamantly questions it (it showed me just how much everyone knew that Raavi's world revolved around Shiva and Shiva's world revolved around Raavi... had it been anyone else, I don't think she would've gotten away with it, nor would she have taken the initiative to be someone else's "proxy"). I loved the scene where Raavi immediately hugs Shiva (who is angry from being stuck in the closet) due to her excitement of being able to marry Dev (it shows me how Raavi is easily able to share her happiness with Shiva, despite him being an "enemy." I also am convinced if Krish or Dev were around, she would just bounce and excitedly announce the news instead of hugging them). I loved the scene where Shiva proudly gazes at Raavi when Gaumbi praises her (it shows me that they care for each other on a personal level. These games they play are superficial, and underneath it all is respect and admiration).
The track your suggesting is the romance that is right up my alley. Something that wouldn't be overtly obvious. Something that will give us a few monologues... however, I don't know if I trust the CVs 😆 I want to see a few more episodes before making my final judgment on whether the CVs will be able to handle such a track
Couldn’t agree more! What you have described above is exactly what I love to watch as well! I love subtle moments building up to a romance full of depth and intensity… one that leaves so much open to interpretation and up for discussion I love the ShiVi hug and Shiva’s expression in that moment! Such an impactful scene despite having nothing OTT about it. I prefer those moments to outright romantic ones. Very few couples can get me to enjoy softer romance, GauRa being one of them. But even then, there is something subtle and beautiful about their love.
Yep, my biggest concern is not trusting the CVs (goes for most ITV shows)… I feel like this track ends up being a mess each time. 😆 The one I mentioned is so so beautiful! It was a very unique take and was so well executed! Vikrant Massey stole the show! Would love to see it executed here with DevTa equally involved in the track.
