My husband brought home a really tiny tortoiseshell kitten home a year ago. It was rainy and stormy outside and this tiny thing was too scrawny for words. I just fell in love instantly and we adopted her. Our landlord objected that same night because the neighbours complained (they are idiotic), and I told him that we are leaving the house but won’t leave the kitten. He apologised the next morning 😆 And now the tiny thing has grown into a naughty fur ball who has us wrapped around her paws 🤣

Oh my that’s so heartwarming! I feel your sentiments exactly. My cats are the centre of my universe. I wake up in the middle of the night and go check on all three of them to make sure they’re still alive (paranoid x 100). I also won’t leave the house until I do a headcount because I’m traumatised by the idea of one of them escaping.

One of my cats had escaped the house and went missing for 13-14 hours. I was a sobbing screaming mess. I was looking for him outside until 3am, screaming his name through a whole load of tears and snot lol. Found the little fcuker chilling in my neighbours backyard. I was standing on a chair and half hanging off the fence trying to lure him to come to me, worried that the neighbour would wake up and call the police after seeing a person hanging over their backyard at 3 in the morning 😆

When we brought him home. He just sat like a king and fell asleep, not giving a single shit that my whole face was swollen and that I had aged at least 100 years overnight. 😒😒
