It wouldnât come as a huge surprise. Honestly the show is nowhere near the toxicity level needed to remain on air for a long time. The same thing happened with the previous show I used to love.
A part of me doesnât want the show to run for more than 1.5-2 years. Just look at any show that has been on air for that long and youâll see that one can barely recognize it anymore.
Having said that, I do want them to be able to give us the story they have in mind and the one we deserve to watch. Itâs sad because the team wonât get the chance to put forth the story they have in mind no matter how long they are on air.
Eventually, the channel will interfere and will totally twist up the show. This will make it hard for even the most loyal fans to watch, giving them the perfect reason to axe it. Apparently the channels edit the episodes and make last min changes to the script. Tracks get tossed overnight (even ones that have been completely shot and edited). This cycle literally keeps repeating with every show that tries to stay away from being toxic. No wonder ITV canât give us something beyond the usual.
I have watched this film before but it was called KHKT. Stable TRPâs start dropping a bit, tracks abruptly change, fans try to remain hopeful but each passing track makes it harder, eventually fans get fed up and so does the team, channel completely destroys the content and shuts it down due to âlack of trpsâ. Itâs absolutely heartbreaking! It doesnât make sense from a business perspective and donât even get me started on how unfair it is to the team.
In the end, it will come down to whether or not SP wants to keep the show on air. I wish there was a way for these shows to get some time to play out their original storylines and then the channel can do whatever they want. I feel like itâs such a dirty game they play with fans who are so dedicated and the teams who work so hard. I honestly donât get the point of axing good shows and bring in new ones, only to do the same thing.
