In fact in the OG, he never led Mullai on. I don't think there was this saath mein icecream khaana nonsense, was there? He used to be pretty rude and distant from her, but not majorly impolite I think.

Jeeva is a class act. It was all one sided from Mullai. As you said he never egged her on. I don’t think he was rude to her but not overly friendly like Dev here. He used to be neutral towards Mullai. And every time him or Meena hurt Kathir or Mullai, the apologies from him would be very genuine and you feel bad for him and the way him and Murthy helped Meena adjust in a joint family setting was commendable,

What have they done to Dev here?😭
