I don't think he would have removed the face covering because he knows how his men would treat her thus he chased her.

Warna kaun aise peeche padta hai 😆 it's obvious she doesn't know to fight with a sword but phir bhi he kept attacking.

I think he was 50-50 about the entire situation. He had a strong suspicion but forgot all about it when he hurt her.
