Dealing with depression is as it is very difficult!! There is no permanent cure. And this obsession can be very unhealthy

People have different coping mechanisms. Nothing is right or wrong. And it's ok to have to whatever coping mechanism you want to have unless it affects others. For such coping mechanisms the guilty party is the society rather than who these mechanisms.
