Guys I watched the scene again to check for finner points

There are 3 conclusions that can be possible

1.ani is into men. Cuz the way he pulled her towards him in the beginning and then felt her touch and the eyelocks it can't be that he would do it with a man

2.ani knew it was a women and was trying to see who it was but then I don't think he would come this close trying to uncover a woman

3.(i feel this is the most probable) he knew it was bondita and he was trying to see how far she can go and then he chased her to reconfirm his suspicions

she actually showed her vulnerability to her when infront of world she is bold,confident and cute as she knows ani will be there for her
