So when Veeru leaves the house...will we get sad songs and tears and a sad monologue?

I feel so so bad for him because neither Samrat will understand him nor will Sai stop him. Luckily, it will be the prelude to the confession.

However, a part of me feels that even then there will be a part of the audience saying that he deserves what he gets, he should have told Sai what he feels, Samrat has all the right to feel bad, etc etc

Actually Sai will act to get scared and sleep holding him tight. Then he’ll when he’s about to leave the next day, she’ll beg him not to go but he’ll be adamant on leaving, and yes both of them are gonna be sad.
