Hola veteran sheeps, new sheeps, and everyone else!
I’m Shreya and it is time for a Sheep Competition!
For those who are playing this game for the first time, the sheep game runs as follows. You will receive a list of 10 questions from me. Your job is to give an answer that you believe the other participants would give. For example, if I ask, “apples or oranges”, you have to choose one based on what you think other participants will choose. If your choice is the most popular you win points. Else you don’t.
But what’s a game by me without some twists?
The answer that gets picked the most time is the winner and you will get 2 points. If there is a tie, the points will be split in half.
If your answer is the second-most popular answer, you will get 1 point. If there is a tie, the points will be split in half.
Anything below that will be 0 points.
The tournament will run as follows.
All the members will begin the game in a qualifier round. You will all play 3 rounds accumulating points. This is to allow you to make up for a bad round. At the end of the qualifiers, the bottom 5 to 10 people will be eliminated.
The points you have earned in the qualifiers will then be used to rank you individually for the Knockout Phase. Once rankings are decided, players will face each other in the following format. If there are 10 players, then Player 1 vs Player 6, Player 2 vs Player 7, Player 3 vs Player 8, and so on. There is no league scoring. Your scores will reset each round. You simply have to knock the other person out and continue to the next round. If there is a tie in the points, then the goals will decide who wins. If there is also a tie in the goals, then both players will advance to the next round.
Once we reach the top 2 to 6 players, they will all compete against each other for the coveted 2021 Sheep Champion in 2 rounds. The points will be accumulated over these 2 rounds and the top ranker will be crowned winner.
Once you are knocked out, you can still play if you wish (you wouldn’t be playing for any points or position but just for fun). When you submit your answers, simply let me know in the PM if you wish to continue playing even if knocked out.
Each round will have a specific theme and questions will revolve around that theme. For each round you will have exactly 48 hours unless it is over a weekend in which case you will have 72 hours.
Depending on how things are going, there will be a fun award ceremony at some point before the Grand Finale starts.
