Today, Sharda reiterated that Raghav was bad in the past but he's changed and is trying to be good. That's gotta count for something, right?

There have been many EK shows where this has worked when they 'justified' the killing, but not sure if this show's audience would be ok with it.

The other thing that struck me was that perhaps Raghav knows that the man (i.e. Mandaar) had an accident, nearly died, but recovered, which would mean Pallavi is still legally married to her first husband. This could explain him being so frantic and not being able to follow rituals, or be a husband to Pallavi going forward. She will keep falling for him and he will keep distancing himself.

@bold: Are you implying that this is like, Mandar was given some money and threatened to leave the city/country immediately and never show up/contact anyone from his past again, jaise vo mafia waale movies mein hota hai?

Yeah, but as you and I have been saying the last few days, she's headed for some kind of major hurt/heartbreak/bubble bursting moment. Ugh, I am so dreading seeing her that way.

In normal circumstances, she'd be fine to wait for her husband to fall in love with her and give him time and space if needed but right now she's head over heels in love with him. Even if he doesn't reciprocate, she'd at least expect her to acknowledge her displays of affection. If he doesn't do this, that will hurt her for sure, because he's also shown appreciation for her efforts in the past too.

I have a feeling the BTS we saw of her in that pink chiffon saree was her imagination, daydreaming about Raghav romancing her, for the reality to be quite different. Damn, I can't see her cry anymore. There's nothing worse than being lonely even after having someone around. Hasn't she dealt with enough pain all her life? 😔

Yes, plus how refreshing to have an FL just, pour a drink because she needs one, and not be duped into it accidentally for the drunk scene? I mean, I definitely don't condone alcoholism, or drinking as a coping mechanism, but yikes, the girl's life is a rollercoaster and her husband has become the poster child for mood swings. I don't blame her for needing to take the edge off.

I read this particular scene more in the sense of her physical well being, and not from the perspective of the safety of the relationship. She prayed that any harm that was destined for him fall on her instead, and he came out, untouched, against fairly scary odds. The juxtaposition of these scenes is also so much more explicit than this show tends to be, so it's hard for me not to read into it.

As for the relationship itself, all signs point towards them coming out stronger at the end, so I'm here for the ride.

I was actually referring to the fact that Raghav wholeheartedly fasted for her for the same reasons she fasted for him, but ended up unwittingly breaking it. I wonder if he'll even realize later that he did so, but anyway the point is that even if he didn't go through with the fast it doesn't necessarily mean she'd be in harms way. Just like if she didn't do her fast/pooja properly, doesn't mean he would be harmed, as per what Ayi was saying about vign vs. vishwaas.

Maybe, or maybe he chose to use the opportunity to fake his death and never come back. Raghav knows that Mandaar is still alive but didn't know at the time who he was.

Yeah, I agree with that. It would be refreshing for her at least. 😉

I don't condone it either but it would be another example of Raghav's habits rubbing off on her, which I wouldn't mind frankly for the short term. As long as he realizes that something made her upset enough to do so and then tries to open up to her.

I don't think anyone on the show drinks except Raghav, right?

I know we've been speaking about this for a while...but knowing it's coming and seeing it happen feels so different. Also, we as viewers know that Raghav is not Vijay, but this is what Vijay used to do to her too. He'd be all warm and nice, and the slightest of missteps, and he'd go completely cold and withhold affection. That's how she's been conditioned now, and she's going to start wondering what missteps she's been making if Raghav starts being unresponsive out of the blue. Ugh, so freaking hard to watch.

You know what would be a great plot twist? That Mandaar 'died' at the hands of Pallavi, for legitimate reasons, but she covered it up.

What would Raghav think of her then? Would he see her differently? Would he still be able to love and respect her the same way? Would Ayi still side with her, and would Sanki's punishment be justified?

@bold: I imagined this a lot of times. Perfect case for a thriller plot. Lekin Pallu went to police station several times in the past to get any info on Mandar,iss liye CVs won't show this.
