How does "block user" work in IF?

Okay.... I find few members very annoying here (I am not naming them) or more like their posts/comments irritate me. So I have gone to their profiles & have hit the "block user" button.

But I still see their posts & comments🤔 At first I thought maybe there was some error & they weren't blocked. But I double checked & their profiles now have the button "unblock user". So they are definitely blocked. Right?

Then why do I still see their content?🤔

I think blocking works only for personal messages.

I block them mentally. I do not read their posts.

Anyways, I don't think IF has the option to block member posts.

Blocking is only for PM cannot hide posts yet

If you want it to hide posts request vijay in the site issues thread

So how you can do that is, whenever you come across that ID, just scroll up or down at a lightening speed so that you can avoid reading whatever they have posted.

Or else try meditation.

@Everyone thank you for answering.😊I am fairly new to IF & didn't know that the "block" works only on pms. I expected it to work like how that feature works usually in fb or other social media sites.

I am not a very active member here, nor do I plan to be so I think I wouldn't go up all the way to complaining to admin. And yes, in just a month I have come to understand that this place is not that peaceful😆 I have come across stuffs which I could do without so thought blocking was a good idea....but since I discovered that it doesn't work the way I thought it would, I need to either master the trick Voldemort mentioned or limit my visitations to this place

Let's see which one I can do better😆
