I think Sai gave a befitting reply to Pakhi when she said that she isn't giving the pendant away to a stranger, it's just Kaku.
In a joint family, these things happen. Hell, it happens in a nuclear family with siblings. Parents have to buy two of the same gifts or two different gifts but at the same time. Unless it's a birthday or something where family members understand that gifts go only to the special person that day.
But Virat is also not wrong in saying people and families need to progress with time and normalise husband and wife gifting each other randomly.
