I think with Anupama, the treatment of a similar story is quite different.

All the characters are established very well. The behaviour is in line with it.

The drama is over the top many times but their is some amount of sense in the fight. There is logic and organic progress.

Like today, Kavya has a monologue seeking revenge from Anupama. Her actions won't shock us.

Pakhi has no sense or purpose in her life and actions. I can't correlate with her fights any day. I can't understand wat she wants and y she is doing smthin. The show in itself does not portray that. It makes some sense when there are post and analysis on them.

Portrayal An presentation An writing of the characters is better in that show.

Completely agree with you. A show like Anupama that solely thrives on Drama is much better here due to the positive touch that comes along with every scenario. I personally know women in my extended family who can relate to Anupama. It gives such people hope and positivity. But with Ghum there is absolutely nothing positive and I don’t know how many people can actually relate to this nonsense?!!?!

Ya'll need to STOP watching the show for a few days...enough for TRP to fall. Just read written updates.

Right now the writers are loving the controversy & attn the show is getting even if it's negative!

I feel most of the Indian TV drama are showing domestic abuse, mental abuse and much more violence in the name of culture and traditions....

It’s all about TRP... they get TRP from these nonsense drama and violence... I don’t think they are going to take any action

Well, shows like Barrister Babu still runs which shows child marriage, and a child is subjected to abuse in the show. Who can forget Balika Vadu where the little girl was taunted and abused daily by the matriarch of the family.

Come on if u actually see BB u will realise it is one of the best shows on ITV. Just not to jugde it according to promos. Even after it is being set in pre independence era, it has one of the most progressive tracks on ITV. They talked about good touch bad touch, periods, sexual life etc.

They even made them divorce and shown how Anirudh is trying his best to stop child marriage and let Bondita get higher studies.

What I actually like about this show is that. Even after people r shipping them romantically the makers didn't did that. Soo many people wanted atleast something to be shown but they sticked to showing them just being having a teacher and student relationship.

About BV didn't followed it but it was also better show and many thngs were covered, the gradual change in Dadi's character was amazing also this show came more than 10yrs back.

The toxicity, negativity shown on Ghum on daily basis is horrible. I don't know what is wrong with people. Physical, mental, emotional Abuse, insult, harrasment, crime, honour killing etc are shown as so okish is beyond me.

This much nonsense tracks I think no show follows. Silsila used to come on Colourswhich was based on ema. The cheaters were not glorified,they were shown wrong but people went against it. It didn't had prime time used to come late at night still was shifted to Ott. But Ghum rarely shows something good but topping the charts and people get a lollipop of Sairat scenes and people forget what happened earlier.

Shows like BV still looks better compared to many other shows. In most shows, villains (especially if they are family) get away without any punishment, no matter how heinous their crimes are. That is precisely what is happening in Ghum. The only thing we can do is make the complaint and hope common sense prevails for both the authorities and TRP audience. Only if the TRP falls will there be any action from the channel.

So true about family being criminals and getting away with it. Rarely any show had good family members and nothing is done against them and end of the show they r shown as changed people and happy ending.

Hehe I love this show with my whole heart too 😆and understand this completely , but I'm somewhere hoping that by doing so they may change some stuff in the future and make it even more wonderful 🤞 Jaise ke cut down toxicity a little bit, a balance and so on!

At times I do hope TRP drops, but seeing that Ghum's online TRP went to 7th position really hurt me 😔 They put so much effort in it.
