Formal complaint against ghkpm| DT P.10 - Page 2

I raised the complaint already. Make it only about the issue at hand.

Don't make it about Pakhi or Bhabhi-Devar relationship.

My concern is ott domestic violence during primetime. If they show how women should handle DV/ family feeling guilty/ being punished/ apologizing, it would have still been acceptable.

The show was slowly crossly the line, but now they have normalized abuse so much that I see its stopped affecting many in the forum as well.

The show can move to web only or late night slot where they can show abuse/agony p*rn.

The problem is not that they show abuse. The problem is normalising abuse in this show. The criminals and villiams go scot free in this show with zero repentance. They normalised kidnapping and giving wrong medicine to a girl. Now they are abusing a 18+ year old girl everyday and at the end what we get, ghar ke bade hai, unka ye matlab nhi tha.😡😡

Yes I know, I've been saying this since day 1. I even DM'ed Vankar with same thing. Don't show it if you can't handle it. It does happen in real alright, but you have some responsibility, they have to call it out if they show it. I'll edit my post and also put it there.

Abuse does happen in real life but a character like Sai who right is not dependent on anyone amd so courageous still staying in that house doesn't make sense. Sai moving out of the house, that will be women empowerment.

What they are trying to show a 18+ year old independent girl who wants to be a Doctor has no option but to Suicide because of the abuse. What message ot will give to all those girls who are dependent on someone??

They had changed it 4 sai as they removed emon's suicide blackmail track on holi .

Anyway I have filed the complaint too . Hope it works but I doubt it does . There was one show na Anna where the the main antagonist assaulted women forced them to sleep with other men and character-shamed women. The show ran for years and they whitewashed the antagonist and made her the lead of the show by killing the fl and ml leads.The show topped the trp charts. I hope things have changed now

I remember Pehredaar ki Piya was stopped midway because there was huge hooplah on twitter about how the show is romanticising child marriage. They were not even allowed to finish the track. Stopped midway..So yes with a lot of pressure it can work. This is a channel which speaks about women empowerment and his promoting and glorifying mental harassment, abuse, domestic abuse towards a 19year old girl..A girl who is still a teenager, barely and adult. Even in the other show that follows it, they stopped with the family now turning normal to the young girl. Coming back to this show, they have to cut down the toxicity. I hope people at twitter who have mass reach, propagate this message.
