As you have said Virat also didn't deal with them as how he should have. He is also responsible for how they are all with her today. He took a lot of things lightly, he didn't deal with them as how he should have to ensure Sai lives in the house without getting to hear taunts or wothout getting harassed day in and out. He didn't even put an end to them calling her ayw ladki or jungli mulgi. It is better she leaves if her own husband cannot protect her or give her a sage enviroment.

Why do I have a feeling that Virat will return earlier than he had said? They want to show it like a surprise to both Sai and viewers? May be his work gets over in 2 days and he returns without letting Sai know about it and finds her sleeping in her sleeveless dress? 😉
