I don't think mami would part with the kangan for raavi to come home. They are the one thing that despite being flung into poverty she's not parted with. Because they belonged to a woman whom she's always been jealous of. Suman has had everything she thought rightfully belonged to her so they are a reminder that she got Suman's bangles and there was nothing she could do about it.
