Authoritarians do not care about religion. Religion is just a force to use in order to gain power. Muslims might be first in line but if they're not stopped, soon it will be gays/lesbians, women, lower-class Hindu males, etc. Nobody can really survive unless they're part of the machine that worships and enriches the supreme leader.

Mark my words. Modi doesn't care about any temples. He just knows that a lot of people do and he's making use of it.

That’s just not possible. Look at India’s vast diversity. minorities are not in small numbers. I don’t think Hindus will go about converting people. That’s just not a Hindu thing. Doesn’t matter which party is in the govt.

If Hindu khatre mai hai is fear mongering then India becoming Hindu nation is also fear mongering. Anyone saying otherwise is a hypocrite.

I neither believe in Hindu khatre mai hai nor that India will become hindu nation.

But what I do believe in is that there is systematic degradation of cultures and traditions not just In India but such phenomenon exists everywhere.

Edit: I think I get a bit of what you said. You're talking about Covid & the disruption of the global supply chain which has led to more local manufacturing. Yeah, Atamnirbhar is a lot more sinister. In short, its meant to sell whatever is left of India to Ambani & Adani as well by destroying any outer competition.

The fear that India will become a Hindu nation stems from the narrative that Hindu khatre mein hai...how is it fear mongering?? Growing up in India no one ever talked about India becoming a Hindu nation because there was never a suggestion that Hindu khatre mein hai....how are you equating the two?? There are people who are demanding that India should be declared a Hindu nation..

That is not a degradation....that is change...sometimes its good sometimes its not....culture and traditions are all manmade....and they have to change with changing times....

Why did u say that in future tense?? Wat u said is already happening infront of our eyes. Students and journalists are branded as terrorists under the draconian UAPA laws, abd thrown into jail. Farmers are branded as khalisthaanis , and police force used aganist their peaceful protests, and tge journalists are prevented from covering tge protests, by placing road blocks. The BJP is following the Nazi playbook by the "T. No wonder Gowaalkar abd Savarkar are admirers of Hitler and Nazism. Next comes tge book burning

People who are concerned about India becoming Fascist-Authoritarian country can vote out Modi Government and select Rahul Gandhi as their next PM. Obviously that will be the likely choice of opposition.

And like Biden administration passed executive orders to revoke or reverse many of the Trump orders, Our next PM can do the same.
