Anokhi seems to have already bowed out. She also thinks Tej is holding his end of the bargain to keep Shaurya happy. Same as you, the one frustration I have is that she's not confronting him. She's not calling out the fact that he made these promises to her and is moving on. Shaurya technically said he didn't believe in the adha-adhura shaadi. So she might actually believe all that B.S.
Anokhi is a true tubelight. How she is a college topper is beyond me? But then again, when emotions are involves, people become stupid. I don't understand why she thinks Babli or Ahir would deliberately cause her pain like this, unless she believes she's pissed them off with her breakup.
I did enjoy that she wanted to show him with that dialogue "aisa shagun chadaungi...". She came to show him what he was missing by moving on.
@bold: Immensely frustrated about this. She has no faith on her family or Shaurya or Astha. I can't imagine why they would be petty enough to cause her pain like this just out of spite. The other reason could be that she realizes that they are trying to tell her how stupid she is being but her ego/fear/embarrassment/lack of confidence/self pity is stopping her from taking a step forward and mend things with Shaurya.
She is also not a good listener, Shaurya told her about how feels like drowning in emotional karz but she still thinks that Tej would keep his bargain and Shaurya will be happy with it.
I have always had a problem with Anokhi's righteous know-it-all lone ranger approach. It has done wonders for what she faced so far but it is a disasterous approach in a relationship like marriage. There is a lot of discussion in main forum about how Shaurya is taking it too far and it is not fair to Anokhi given her intention. I too have felt that keeping wedding secret and putting her through all this pain is taking it too far. However given the way Anokhi is responding, I see Shaurya's perspective. Their marriage and love won't survive a day in toxic environment like Sab household with her approach. She will be mincemeat and drive Shaurya crazy by reacting to anything and everything others tell her to manipulate her. She will believe people , make incorrect assumptions, take a decision and then stick to it on principle without sharing anything with Shaurya.
So I kind of disagree here. I agree that in most relationships we make trust is where we start from. I don't know if that's true for parents. You learn to love them early and then are taught to respect them. Trust is built over the years due to their care and support. This is just my view. So it makes sense that he's disappointed in her, but can't really stop loving her. His love to his family is very unconditional! He also hasn't been as blind as we thought. He felt the karz of being raised by Tejvi. So he must also hear and understand the unfairness that occurs in the household. He's always disappointed by the twins, but he continues to love his sisters. I just think it's tricky in familial relationships to say what actually breaks it or makes it.
I think I was thinking from a different perspective. In past he had immense faith in Devi so much that people were scared to tell him the truth and Devi kind of used him as her executioner. She would threaten unleashing Shaurya on them. The other thing that was unique about past was none of the family members were ever pitted against each other. Now that Shaurya knows the truth, that blind trust is gone. He will no longer serve as Devi's threat. Also with Astha and Anokhi in the mix and Shaan reasserting himself, the family dynamic is going to be very different. He will choose others and he already is over Tejvi. You cannot stop loving people or feeling something for them but you can distance yourself from them when you know they are toxic and not trustworthy or they are out to harm your other loved ones. I will also point out Tejvi are not his parents and he realizes that at some level. He continued to yearn for his parent's love and felt indebted with his foster parent's care. I do agree with you that it is tricky in family relationships to assess what makes them and breaks them.
Anokhi is in same situation with her father, she respects him to some extent and she definitely loves him but she does not trust him to do the right thing.
Took me long to get here. With all the drama happening today with trp n everything else, didn’t feel like doing a half hearted episode review, especially of an episode I loved. But after Debvir Bts, I am back to being excited about this track.

I don't know where to begin. After months of watching SAAKK, I should be used to quality content! But today put such a smile on my face.
Yes!! I was smiling throughout the episode.
1. Anokhi walking away angry and sad made me sad, until I heard Shaurya's commentary. For anyone worrying about unnecessary drama in this show, Shaurya said it best....it's Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani......and no one else. Also, the guy hasn't taken home his bride, but he's already thinking about children! Ziddi Wife + Ziddi Husband = Ziddi Children. Seems like the perfect equation to me!
That scene was bittersweet. Felt sad for Anokhi, but Shaurya’s dialogues made me grin. My poor Jugni, Shaurya is gonna pay for all this later.
2. Babli is such a nautanki too. Poor Anokhi having to deal with it from all sides. Shaurya didn't have to try hard for Anokhi to become assistant wedding planner and neither did Babli. And choosing the theme, she knows her PS well, but that sad look made me sad for a minute.
Babli should cut her some slack. Poor girl is dealing with so much alone. She needs a hug. A biiig hug!!
.3. Aastha and Shaurya are such an amazing mother-son combo. Such great chemistry. That whole sequence was soooo cute. Him being jealous of Anokhi. Aastha wanting to be ma and not saas. Shaurya choosing a blue saree for her. Such a cute scene.
Everytime I see Aastha and Shaurya together, my heart warms. He has never been this carefree, happy, goofy, childish around Devi ever. There has always been a formality in their relationship. But with Aastha once he accepted her, he went back to being her baby. Who throws tantrums, gets jealous n goofy and everything. It was a heartwarming scene.
4. I know I'm stating the obvious, but Aastha is a much better human than Devi, and a much better mother. Thinking about unnecessary drama at her reunited son's wedding, she wants to back out, and let Devi hold her place. Eff that! I'm so glad Shaurya knows how to emotionally blackmail people....he's a Sabherwal after all!. Aastha will attend her Ladoos wedding. And the hug and the smile on Shaurya's face is priceless.
I am so glad that Shaurya blackmailed her. She doesn’t need to give up her rights. Especially not for someone like Devi, who cares a damn about her.
5. What got into Tej? Did he take a smart pill? Convincing Devi to accept Anokhi, to keep her son! I'm on board with the acceptance whatever the reason.
I think he is just feigning taking a step back. He will attack the first chance he gets.
6. Yo, Shaurya is mean! Why you making your wifey so sad that she scalded her tongue?
I know. Shaurya bohot pitne wala hai.😆
7. Shaurya/KV looks really nice in that Shagan outfit!! It fits his height! Thank God Kanchan figured out the truth and spilled it!! Shaurya's reaction was as expected....first disbelief and then acceptance. And he's so straightforward that he confronted her right after. That scene was an emotional hit. She did everything knowing she could lose her son. But she raised such a good man, that he only lost trust in her and not the unconditional love and respect he carries in his heart for her.
Today’s confrontation with Tejvi had more impact than yesterday’s confrontation with Tej. He may still love and respect her, but without trust, it will always be Shaky!!
8. I love wedding festivities. I'm a sucker for good decor and outfits!! So colorful! Bhallas meet Sabherwals. Side note: Ahir looks amazing in white!!
Yes!!! Me too!! 😍😍
9. Last bit with Anokhi's entry! Who had all those saree KPs? Shaurya Sabherwal's jaw is on the floor. His wifey is hot and he knows it. Way to make him pay Anokhi!!
Precap - So that's how they're getting the Shagan ka rasam done! Let's get the dancing underway.
I loved Shaurya’s reaction. He was completely floored by his wife. Loved the way he couldn’t look away!!
Sooooo much happened....how to process it all. I'm soooooooo excited that we've started the festivities. It will be interesting to see how long they can all keep this wedding a secret. If Bebo and Kitty are at the sangeet, what is the incentive for them to keep quiet? Also who knows not to spill? I'm really confused by this.
Even I am confused how things are gonna happen further. But I am enjoying the surprise as well. Eagerly waiting for the upcoming episodes. 😍😍
Don’t kill me but frankly I am a little frustrated with TRP and TT drama every day every week and negativity it generates. It completely kills the joy of watching a stellar show that delivers every single episode.
I understand that we love the show and want to keep it going but it is what it is. This is pure business for the channel so they are making cold-blooded decisions. They need high TRPs to get advertisement revenue and most of those advertisements are applicable to Indian viewers only. I feel like we are fighting a losing battle. The show is too logical and progressive for a lot of Indian viewers. I would rather it be a high quality finite series that I will watch multiple times and has potential for being picked by one of the other platforms for a season 2.
I have mentioned this before what is to prevent the PH to repackage the show into hour long episodes, add subtitles and load it on Netflix and negotiate a season 2. Unlike SP, Netflix has more interest in international viewers and the content of the show is just perfect for that platform. I would rewatch it and encourage all my friends and family that resides internationally to watch it. Almost everyone I know has Netflix subscription, but only a few of us have Hotstar. I know they would love it. A lot of Asian shows have taken that path so why not us. BTW Netflix is known to pitch in production cost when needed. Not sure if there is a way for fans to make that happen because that might be more realistic at this point than hounding SP for something they don’t care about.

I literally just posted in another topic saying what you are saying about Netflix but you worded it so much better than me. This show is way toooo good that it should be on Netflix and I know for a fact there would be a lot audience on Netflix for the uptake of this show. If shows like "bollywood wives" made a hit (personally found it soooooo crappy) but SAAKK would do amazing! The story line is meant for people that appreciate such dialogues, character development, filming and etc. THis show is a complete package to be success. It is just so unfortunate that it is not being appreciated on ITV when other shows (my personal opinion are such drags and boring) are getting appreciated. Beyond my understanding😡
But i dont know the process for the uptake of Netflix when it comes to shows...? Or how we can encourage this?

I am not sure .. maybe suggest it to PH and see if they have a perspective. They would know business side more than us. Meanwhile maybe keep trending it on SM so that the platform has more incentive to consider it. I am sure the FD can trend it on the platform if everything works out.
BTW there are tons of platform that can be used Amazon, Voot but Netflix has most reach. I see so much more benefit in it - better production value, if we go season route, cast gets a break and they go international. Also now PH can truly shoot for tighter story with none of the restrictions related to time slots or audience mind set.

Anokhi is in same situation with her father, she respects him to some extent and she definitely loves him but she does not trust him to do the right thing.
When it comes to Anokhi, we've talked ad nauseum about how she's so self righteous. How she judges. How she makes up her mind and sticks to it, like she has tunnel vision. Like you said, it has helped her. Having that one track mind is what kept her pursuing her dreams. But it's also the person Shaurya fell in love with. And you're right, this behavior and inability to compromise will hurt her and him in a relationship. But also the girl who fought for anything and everything picked love to be the place where she gave up. This is why I'm okay with his ruse. His intention is to reawaken the girl he fell in love with, not this noble soul who gave him up.
ShaKhi's biggest issue has been communication. The amount of times I've yelled at the screen because Anokhi won't pick up the damn phone! They're both such singular souls that have fought their way through life alone. So having to share your thoughts isn't really in their DNA. Shaurya surprisingly has been quicker to learn than Anokhi. Since he's confessed his feelings, everything flows easily out of him unlike Anokhi who's still keeping it in and will explode. Shaurya's doing everything to cause that explosion.
I support Shaurya's approach because like you mentioned, she'll be mincemeat in the Sab House otherwise and so will her marriage. So the fact that they are resolving this before shaadi will be important for the future.
Shaurya finding out the truth and removing his blinders has definitely shifted the Sabherwal dynamic. I'm glad to see Kanchan and Shaan stand up for themselves and others. Great point about Devi using Shaurya as executioner. And I agree the blind trust is gone, but the love/respect he has for being taken care of when no one else did towards Devi can't go away due to one mistake. I remember in an earlier episode, he acknowledged that he would be a lawaaris if Tejvi hadn't taken him in. He feels indebted but he also must feel saved. Tejvi are selfish, but he was loved and taken care of in that home. He was also given a great education, support in his decisions, and given independence.
Anokhi on the other hand was abused and caged by her Papaji, but she still continues to yearn for his love. So to me, either 'real' parent or foster parents, the Bhallas and the Sabherwals were shitty parents to their kids. It's easier to rail against Devi because her manipulations have been in our face. This is why I'm having a hard time accepting Papaji after all the whitewashing they did. I'm happy for Anokhi, but it's hard to forget that this is the man who beat his daughter, locked her in a room and sold her off to a NRI family.
Moving on from that, I'm really excited about what is to come. It will be interesting to see how much Anokhi can take. What kind of conversations happen once she finds out the truth? SAAKK continues to surprise me with their approach and I hope that never changes.
Don’t kill me but frankly I am a little frustrated with TRP and TT drama every day every week and negativity it generates. It completely kills the joy of watching a stellar show that delivers every single episode.

Agreed. But the problem here is that the show lies between Netflix and Star plus for content.
A show like this is beautiful because of the moments which requires a longer format. And thats why ppl don't want the show to end. They want to see sweet everyday stuff between the 2 lead characters. Secondly this isn't tvf or dice that will sell the show. Star will never sell it to Netflix. We may be fighting a losing battle no doubt. But fighting is an individual choice. So let's see. It breaks my heart to see what happened. And this does close the doors for several other shows of this kind. Let's face it we are stuck in time with regards to itv. That's not gonna change. Sometimes I feel the past was a purer time with shows such as Dil mil gaye and Mile jab hum Tum. Even if they were not high concept they provided good content and had great humor. Today itv has none of that but just something which I don't is what. And Saakk is the lovely show it is because of not only the theme but exceptional performances, great dialogues at the very least. Even if the plot is sketchy now it's still amazing because the performances hold it together along with fabulous dialogue improvisations. And that by itself is a good enough reason to watch it. Only if it were to last........

Same head space. I really dislike Thursdays. I’m sure this was compounded by KV’s tweet but that BTS helped set the mood right! I watched a lot of VMs on the end scene as well for a pick me up!
That scene was bittersweet. Felt sad for Anokhi, but Shaurya’s dialogues made me grin. My poor Jugni, Shaurya is gonna pay for all this later.
I can’t wait to see how Shaurya explains all these lies or will she be so happy that he’s not marrying Shagun that she’ll forgive him. Anokhi hasn’t been able to be mad at him for long since she fell in love with him. She knows his heart is in the right place.Babli should cut her some slack. Poor girl is dealing with so much alone. She needs a hug. A biiig hug!!
We need Reema! Reema will convince her to fight for her man and also give her that hug!

So true! He was always so formal with Devi and with Aastha, he’s her baby. He’s trying to make up for 25 years. Just looking at the scene caps makes me smile.

I loved Shaurya’s reaction. He was completely floored by his wife. Loved the way he couldn’t look away!!I've watched that last scene multiple times. Retweeted literally every video for that scene with all the romantic songs. I can't wait for it to continue.
Even I am confused how things are gonna happen further. But I am enjoying the surprise as well. Eagerly waiting for the upcoming episodes. 😍😍Same!! Let's keep that positive attitude daily!
Are you all excited for today’s episode? Let’s caption it dhakkan Anokhi. Sach mein chun ke naam rakha hai.
