Lol I would’ve agreed if he already didn’t buy much worse stuff from her. Just today only he was saying what Navera says doesn’t matter to him because he knows how ‘achchi’ Maham was. ;)

Fact is, this is just a show and like any other show, following most of the drama tropes. Not that it is wrong but it is what it is!

As you would have realised, I have stopped watching Mohlat, and sadly, my initial prediction of this possibly being one of my shortest drama viewing stints seems to be coming through...

Clearly the brief that Geo and the PH gave Samira Fazal was not the same as what I gave her!😂

Although I really like Rida as a character, the Essa-Rida dynamic just doesn’t have the same magnetism as EssaVera! I mean the premise of the EssaVera equation was also platonic, but there was an element of chutzpah about them..their sequences together are just something else! It’s both their characterisation as well as Usama and Komal’s acting that did it for us, I guess!❤️

Mohlat, to me will always be a lost opportunity...I say this because, in my head, this is a story of the journey of Essa, Navera and Rida...with their own

character arcs...through the unpredictability of life’s journey....

The scheming of Maham and the idiocy of Davar could have been a parallel track if the makers so desperately wanted to make this a mainstream drama! But sadly, they have not been able to see what we did, making Mohlat absolutely ordinary fare!

There are some other reasons as well, that I say this...Essa is the Arabic name for Jesus, I am

guessing, while Navera means a flower bud (we can blame Google if I am wrong)! What a fine nuance to capture the Essa and Navera journey, both individually and together!❤️
We saw some beautiful glimpses of the same, but alas, am not sure, if we will ever get to see it’s full potential!

In fact, sadly am now, only waiting to watch those scenes of Essa and Navera, which were posted in this thread, as part of Usama and Komal’s Insta feeds.

How they will merge into the narrative, am not so sure!

Do let me know (please tag me) if there is any indication of Essa and Navera scenes together, even if it’s the last episode...will be the only possible closure, I guess...

Re “Mera Naseeb”, it’s a tale of 2 sisters born at the same time, and the multiple connotations of “fate” that are attributed to them.....leaves one thinking about so many questions, exactly what a good drama should be doing!

What was most appealing to me about the drama, was that it challenges stereotypes, but in the most understated manner...and the way in which relationships (and I am not just talking romantic ones here), are handled, is a case study in itself!

In fact, I also plan to rewatch it again, considering that I have taken a Mohlat sabbatical currently...pun intended!😀

The actors in MN are exceptional...of course, there is the uber talented Sanam Saeed with a powerhouse performance, but the surprise package of the drama is Syra Yousuf...she was a revelation for me!

I really hope just to get you back on the show, they will bring back Essa. Waise there was a very brief glimpse of him today where he looked pretty down and out. Looks like Rida’s prognosis isn’t quite encouraging. :(

Google Zindabad, I did find out more about ‘mera naseeb’. Looks quite interesting. Also I got to know that she was the one behind some of the other interesting dramas like Man Mayal, Dastaan etc. Surely bandi mein dam hai!

Just when I thought Navera was coming into her own, we see she is going to yet again interfere in Maham’s life. I mean this is such a used and abused drama trope of the goody 2 shoes heroine interfering in every one’s lives because she ‘means well for them’. 🥱Her achai will get rewarded with a divorcee and spineless person for a husband with a readymade baby in the tow. 👏*fiercely hoping that it is not going to happen*

I guess, Salman will now know that Maham was just as usual weaving stories about Navera and Dawar’s ‘affair’.

Scene of the day though has to be Rida and her thoughts about Navera. Got me a bit teary eyed. Also we get to see Essa at the end of that scene which is like sone pe suhaga, though he doesn’t quite look his own self which makes me worry for Rida’s prognosis! :(

No biggie. I just found it funny.

I feel nothing of use happened in the episode apart from last few scenes. It was just recap city the entire way. You could watch the last few scenes of the episode n not miss a thing.

im a little disappointed in tht sense. I feel like there isn’t much left stories wise for a daily drama so they r just using such tactics to increase episode count.

It was a flashback episode...I think they showed flashbacks of each and every character in today's epi.

Aur salman kyun bekoof banti chali ja rahi he unless he plans to leave Maham after she divorces Dawar for completing his revenge.

Caught up completely on the show finally 😉.

Todays episode was kinda boring. It seems more things will happen tommorow, like the whole Turkey thing.

I think the show might not have much left so that’s why in last few episode they’ve incorporated flashbacks and recaps. Kinda annoying.
