Seriously! What people should really have been upset about was how the king Shahid played was treated. He was deliberately made to look weak and flimsy and the styling and set design all emphasized it too. They made him wear feminine colors and gave him a throne that made him look even smaller and weaker. Everything was done in a way to emasculate him in comparison to Ranveer. Not to mention the fact that the brutal and vulgar villain was made the main character and antihero. The way the story was told was much more offensive than what the fake controversy was about.

Old me would have given you links to prove how Muslims are prospering in India, and how Hindus in Pakistan are living in worst state, a state bereft of even basic human rights. Pakistani Hindus have least support from government and judiciary. Whereas if you look In India we have Indian Muslims in highest positions in every field possible even governance and judiciary and continues to do so in Modi Government as well.

Hindus haven't even raised their voice yet and are being called racist and bigots. Hindus haven't even done 1% of what Pakistan have done to Pakistani Hindus. I repeat again few online trolls and fringe groups doesn't represent majority Hindus.

Majority Hindus are more than welcoming about coexistence of Indian Muslims. There is nothing like Hindu hardliner because Hindus follow Sanatana dharma which believes in peaceful coexistence, doesn't believe in conversions let alone as its done forcibly in Pakistan.

Will give one small example that BJP Government is far from being a far right government or a hardliner as you put it...BJP Government has given more scholarships to Muslims than those were given UPA Government. (It doesn't mean I am saying stop giving scholarships, the point here is that Muslims are living very well as compared to state of Hindus in Pakistan).

Not only your fear of India becoming Pakistan is unwarranted but far from reality or with any substance.

My God...so much entitlement.....Firstly what does Pakistan mistreating Hindus has anything to do with Muslims here in India....Secondly Hindus are welcoming of coexisting of Muslims??? Seriously....what?? Hum hote kaun hain Muslims ko unke khud ke desh mein welcome karne wale??? Your post makes it seem like that India belongs to Hindus and we are doing some ehsaan on Muslims??? Na Bhai.....ye desh jitna humara hai...utna he Muslims ka hai.....ye hum ehsaan karne wale kab se ho gaye....this is the entitlement I am talking about.....First get rid of this idea.....no one is doing any ehsaan on any one....Indian citizenship is not decided by a religion...at least not up till now.....

Do you equivocally call out Pakistanis treatment of Hindus who are born in Pakistan as much as you have problem with Indian Muslims treated in India. (Even when there is drastic difference between state of Hindus born in Pakistan and Muslims in India). Do you even have slightest idea of state of Pakistan born Hindus? Are you implying that Pakistan should be given free chit to whatever they are doing to Pakistan born Hindus just because that country belongs to Muslims Only.

Are you serious with this ish? What do you mean "Hindus haven't even raised their voice yet." That sounds more like a threat and not a reassurance.

The trolls that you keep minimizing and trying to dismiss are literally an army of goons created by Modi himself. They are not just random people. Please don't act ignorant as if you don't know the IT Cell is run by Amit Malviya. The BJP itself does all this. Modi himself follows these people. Tell me what are minorities supposed to think when the Prime Minister openly supports and dogwhistles about his love for these online warriors that spread the most vile and disgusting things and advocate for prejudice and sometimes even violence against all minorities?

Modi himself came to power based on two major fundamentals- the pogrom in Gujarat that killed thousands of Muslims while he presided and watched happily instead of offering any police support. And the BJP's destruction of the Babri Mosque and their promise to build a temple there instead. These are the defining characteristics of Modi no matter how much he whitewashes himself with a few scholarships to pretend he's not a bigot. This guy literally creates drama about not wearing a Muslim cap but wears every other costume and headgear he can get his hands on. Btw, I don't think he has to wear a cap. But he deliberately does these stunts to signal to his supporters where his heart really is. This is the same type of stuff Trump used to do.

Your rants against Pakistan aren't of any value because you aren't speaking to a Pakistani or an admirer of Pakistan in the first place. I don't care what happens there even though I do hope things get better there. But ultimately I don't care because it's not my country. Proving India is better than Pakistan isn't even a comparison I want to make because if that's what you have to rely on, India is already doing poorly.

Btw, concentration camps aren't built in a day. Hate is increased slowly every day in small ways. Authoritarianism comes in like your best friend. It's already there in India now where institutions no long function independently- the media, the Supreme Court, the agencies like the IT Dept and NCB... all are just pawns of Modi and used in his plans of vindictiveness and as ways to harass and intimidate anyone critical of him and his party.

mistreatment of humans anywhere bothers me....lately Asians in USA....but I am not talking about that.....when you talk about Muslims in India,...and you use words like welcoming them to coexist with the Hindus....that reeks of entitlement...that is a wrong thinking to have...of course Pakistan treating Hindus and not giving them privelages is wrong....but should that be a benchmark for us....as to how minorities should be treated in India also??

Thanks for both of your responses. I don't have any further bandwidth to discuss with people who wants to turn blind eye just because its not their country. Also the same set of people who wants to magnify something which doesn't exist beyond the doors of politics.

This is a Bollywood forum so we will obviously focus on India.

Second, my parents are Indian so I will obviously focus on India. Not my fault the country is in such bad shape compared to the past.

Kinda wondering if people trending the hashtag would be up in arms if this was PC instead or it’s ok if the husband is a White guy 🤔.
