Group

Raghav had pestered Pallavi about the group for a week and then gone silent. After a month passed with nothing abnormal happening Pallavi let it go.

Raghav was spending some time in Deshmukh Saree Emporium because he was bored. Everytime a customer walked in, Pallavi or Krishna would pretend to show him some sarees. They then decided to close the shutter for lunch and take a break.

Pallavi was at the front doing some work in the register when she saw Krishna and Raghav laughing about something at the back of the shop. She wondered how the both of them had come closer in the past few weeks. Regardless she was just glad that Krishna was no longer terrified of Ghamandi Rao.

"So what are y'all laughing about?", she asked.

"Nothing Didi, it's something silly. Come let's eat."

Now, Pallavi was suspicious. Since when do they crack jokes that they didn't share with her? She looked at the both of them carefully.

"So, Saree ka Dukaan how's the preparation for the new showroom ?"

At with that Pallavi was distracted and she couldn't help but talk about her work.

"It's going really well. We're going to launch a new collection called the 'Pride of India' along with it. Nikhil is preparing the posts for our Instagram page."

"That sounds great! We had a similar collection at Jayathi last year, with exclusive pieces which were fusions of different Indian Jewellery Styles."

"Fusion! I didn't think of it yet. But it sounds interesting."

"You should try it too. Also how's the Kathak performance?"

"That's also going really well. Actually.."

Pallavi was cut short but simultaneous notification on Krishna and Raghav's phones. She narrowed her eyes.

"Ah Saree ka Assistant we got a notification at the same time! What a coincidence!"

"Yes Mr. Rao. How interesting."

Pallavi was not convinced.

"Krishna are you sure you aren't hiding anything from me?"

"Yes Didi! Why would I hide something from you?"

Before Pallavi could reply, their phones went off another time. This time she could catch the heading of the notification on Krishna's phone. It read 'Nikhil @ Pallavi ki Pol Khol'.

Krishna laughed nervously and flipped the phone over.

"Krishna if you aren't hiding anything from me what is this Whatsapp group called Pallavi ki Pol Khol and why is Nikhil on it?"

Krishna gulped and looked at Raghav who shook his head. Unfortunately for them, Pallavi noticed this interaction. She stood in front of Raghav blocking Krishna's view.

"Krishna, I'm asking you for the last time what is going on?"

"Didi, Mr. Rao made a Whatsapp group with me and Nikhil and we talk about you on it from time to time," Krishna blurted.

Pallavi now turned around to face Raghav who was looking at Krishna with disappointment in his eyes. She glared at him.

"What is this Whatsapp group?"

"You started it by creating one with Farhad and Harish!", he retorted with a glare of his own.

"Hmph. Show me what's on it."

"Only if you show me what's on yours."

"We'll exchange phones together. On Three..Two..One."

At one they both handed their unlocked phones to each other. The next ten minutes were spent with the both of them fiercely scrolling on each other's phones with Krishna looking at both of them anxiously. Their scroll session ended with Pallavi putting Raghav's phone down.

"What do you mean by she's in warrior mode today?"

"And why are you mocking my protein powder?"

"We didn't make fun of your protein powder. We made mocked you for only consuming protein powder."

"And why are there baby pictures of me of the group?"

"Because you looked cute in a skirt. Besides Nikhil send you baby pictures of me too and you wrote and I quote, 'Saree ka Dukaan was such a cute baby. I wonder what happened to her. If only she gave less lectures, she could be cute now too.' "

"Isn't that true. And it's better than saying 'Ghamandi Rao is too obsessed with his own hair. It isn't even that great.' Isn't even that great! My hair is amazing. That was very mean of you."

"What's mean is..."

"Didi, we should open the shop now," Krishna interrupted their back and forth.

Pallavi turned back, "That can wait for a minute. Besides I'm not done with you yet. Krishna you're still a traitor."

"Didi, I'm sorry. I.."

Pallavi stopped Krishna by raising her hand, "No excuses. Your and Nikhil's punishment is to run the shop without me for the next week. I'm taking a break. Let's open the shop now."

"Okay didi," and with that Krishna went to the front of the store to clear it up and open the shutter, relieved at being let go with a mild punishment.

Pallavi looked at Raghav, "And how did you punish Farhad and Harish?"

Raghav grinned, "I made them deal with all the chipkoo ladkis on the phone and in my dms for two whole weeks."

"That sounds rough."

"Trust me, it was."

"So, I guess now we're even. You keep your group and I'll keep mine"

"Done deal. Also Amma and Keerthi are coming over for lunch this Sunday and you, Krishna and Nikhil are invited. Farhad and Harish will be there too. I'd really like it if you came."

"Amma and Keerthi are coming over for lunch! That sounds amazing. I'll be there for sure. As to Nikhil and Krishna, I'll have to ask them if they are free."

"Don't bother, I'll do that on the group."

"Ah yes, of course! Use your group."

"Although I must say you should learn to name things from me. 'Pallavi ki Pol Khol' is a much better name than "Ghamandi Rao Updates'. "

Before Pallavi could open her mouth to reply, Raghav was out of the door.

"Goodbye Saree ka Dukaan! See you on Sunday."

Pallavi was left chuckling in the store as the first customer walked in.

A/N: This is what some of you asked for. A line I added on impulse led to this drabble. I hadn't planned it so it might not be the best but I hope you enjoyed it. Also, this is the second last drabble and the last drabble is mostly written so I will be posting that soon.
