thank you so much jaan 🤗

it takes a lot of energy for me to think of pure moments 🤣 so I'm glad they came across as that 😆

A very well expressed OS!

I really loved reading this one and enjoyed it to the fullest!

It was comforting but left me wanting more!

I think Raavi too has some feelings for him but is hiding them for a reason. Maybe she thinks that Shiva won't like her that way or maybe that it's not possible for her to feel that way. Conflicted mind and heart.

That's why I want a sequel to this in Raavi's pov.😳

thank you so much didu 🤗

if I were to go the show route, then I personally don't think raavi ever regarded him in any romantic sort of way but shiva did in the back of his mind 😳 but if I went AU, then definitely she feels something as well and I will try to come up with something in her point of view

thank you for always being my voice of reason 🤗

Mujhe Kaise Pata Na Chala:

- here's the link of the song for your reference:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVUQDE8vLxw

“Agar tujhe kuch khandar mein hojatha na, toh mein…” She waited for him to continue but he had laid back down after a brief pause, and she let out the breath she had been holding in for the past minute. With no intention of embarrassing him, she didn’t prod further but couldn’t help but wonder if his voice had carried concern with a hint of something else as well. All her life, he had been an overbearing presence in her life – his hard exterior was his signature look, and one that he had especially sported in front of her.

Yet today, the angry young man in him had been replaced with a man who seemingly would have done anything to save her. He asked, no – pleaded, for her to remain conscious and would pat her cheeks consistently to prevent her from closing her eyes. His care hadn’t registered as much back when they were buried under the massive amounts of rubble, but since then she had begun to piece together his vulnerability towards her.

Sleep was miles away from her and she turned to look at him, wind blowing on his face. She wasn’t sure if he could feel her staring at him but if he did, he made no indication of it. As she glanced at his sleeping form, her thoughts drifted back to some old memories she had stored in the back of her mind.

Mere dil mein teri dhadkanein thi

Mujhko na aayi nazar

Her MaasiMa had berated her for taking Shiva’s side and had made it clear that in her eyes, Raavi was nothing more than just a pitiful orphan. Raavi was reduced to a sobbing mess and ran away from her house, taking refuge by a random tree. She crossed her arms and let her tears fall, while digging her nails into her arms. She hadn’t realized that this was the same tree that Shiva would often visit, and therefore, wasn’t aware that he was silently watching her. He had heard her murmuring in between her sobs what Maami had said, and his blood boiled at his Maami’s cruelty.

He finally reached out and put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. She looked back and placed her hand on his, laying her head down on their joint hands and crying to her heart’s content. Shiva had waited patiently for her cries to subside and once she was done, he walked back with her, hand in hand, to her MaasiMa’s house. Everyone that had witnessed the two walking together had been shocked as they had never seen the two kids not fighting like junglee billis.

Yet, Shiva had not cared for their scrutinizing gazes and had safely dropped her back home, handing her his personal stash of chocolates before leaving. They had exchanged a few words during this whole interaction, but he had been there for her in one of her most vulnerable moments, and one look into his eyes would have revealed that this wouldn’t be the first time.

Tera ishq mujhme saans le raha tha

Mujhko huyi na khabar

Raavi had forgotten to pack her lunchbox in her backpack, and sat on a secluded bench of her school, too embarrassed to sit in the cafeteria without any food. Her stomach growled in hunger, and she willed it to shut up but soon the noise had turned into hunger pains, and she held onto her stomach. She was a closeted bhukkad who couldn’t survive without food for more than a few hours and was usually famished by lunch time.

She heard footsteps and turned to the side, hoping that the person would just walk past her. She felt a slight tug on her braids and sighed in irritation. There was only one person who would do such a thing and she turned to face the bhootnath. He had a wide grin plastered on his face and she rolled her eyes at his enthusiasm. It was his daily routine to pull her braids whenever he would walk past her table during lunch time. She had even choked on her food a few times from the impact and that had encouraged him further.

She opened her mouth to retort an insult, but he stuffed a piece of aloo paratha soaked in boondi ka raita and aam ka achar in her mouth. She slowly chewed on the delicious food while gazing at him confusion. He had offered no response and instead had sat down, splitting his lunch with her. As soon as they had scarfed down the food, he had pulled her braids one last time before running off to play some ball with his friends before classes resumed.

Raavi had been in total awe of what had just transpired. Shiva was known to be an even bigger bhukkad who rarely shared his food and was always nabbing others’ food as well. Yet, he had found it in his heart today to share with her and had even fed her a couple of times. She had asked him about it later and his only response had been that she needed the energy to fight with him. Back then she had shrugged her shoulders and had accepted his reply, but now she couldn’t help but think his intentions had been entirely different.

Mere alawa jaan gaye sab

Mujhpe tu kinna marda ae

Raavi ran straight into her Dhara Di’s arms, whining about the horrendous first day she had at college. She was near tears when recounting the ragging she had endured coupled with the numerous insults in a span of just three hours. A few of the senior boys had touched her inappropriately during their pranks and when she complained to the administration, they failed to provide any aid. She could still feel their disgusting hands groping her waist and arms, and suddenly had the itching desire to scratch of the first layer of her skin.

She was just about to cure her itch when she felt a hand grab her wrist. Shiva, who had heard everything, dragged her out to his bike. His Bhabhi had tried to stop him, but he insisted on going back to Raavi’s college. The whole ride there, Raavi could feel the anger radiating from his body and she preferred to stay quiet. Once they reached her college, she pointed out the insolent boys to Shiva and she watched as the fury he had contained, unleashed.

Those college boys were of no match to her bhootnath, who had dragged them along the streets of Somnath. He beat them black and blue while yelling out their misdeeds, so all of Somnath was aware of their lecherous actions. He had even invited some random women off the streets to beat them with their chappals, encouraging them to take out all their anger about a patriarchal society on these pathetic spokesmen. He didn’t stop until he was in front of the police station, and only allowed them to be locked up when Raavi had delivered a few slaps herself. Neither of them had ever had an affectionate relationship but the only befitting response at the moment had been for her to fling herself into his arms. She had held onto him with all her might – her itch had been cured. No one had bothered her from that day on and though she brushed it off with careless laughs, she had been regarded as his girl from that day onwards.

Mujhe kaisa pata na chala

Ke tu mainu pyar karda ae

Raavi was ecstatic that her marriage had finally been fixed with Dev, and she danced around all of Somnath with her Bluetooth speaker blasting wedding music. Her first stop was of course Pandya Store, where she danced around Shiva in circles, rubbing it in her face. She could tell that from his face that he wasn’t happy at all, but she couldn’t care any less. Her childhood dream was reaching fruition and he couldn’t do a single thing about it.

He pulled her into the storeroom, pushing her up against the wall while caging her in between his arms. She kept screeching about her marriage, and he kept yelling that Dev isn’t the one for her and he doesn’t love her, but she wasn’t listening to anything that was coming out of his mouth. Exasperated, he cupped her face and she stopped midsentence. He swiped his thumbs across her cheeks and pressed into her cheekbones, asserting his words. He pleaded with her to not go through with the marriage, that it would only bring her sorrow, but she deduced it as another ploy of his.

She should have listened to him, of course, and saved herself from heartbreak. But she had always trusted the things he did for her, not necessarily what he said to her. Despite their history, he had considered her feelings and had been the only one to attempt to tell her the truth, yet his efforts had been futile. She was too blinded by her ignorance to notice his concern, his care, and perhaps even his love.

Mujhe kaise pata na chala

Ke mera hi intezar karda ae

All their memories swirled in her mind and meshed together with one simple message, a message that she wasn’t sure she was ready to recognize. Could it actually be? She couldn’t fathom him feeling that way, especially for her. Was she remembering their moments in a distorted fashion, trying to a conjure up a romantic vision of their past? No, she remembered each and every single detail as it was but had just now begun to understand the hidden implications.

She caressed his face, rearranging the bangs on his face and tracing his fresh wound. The events at Mukteshwar had ripped the blindfold over her eyes and she could feel the love he had for, seeping out of his body. It was overwhelming yet familiar, almost as if it had always been there but had just come to her attention. All her life she had been waiting for an all-consuming love and hadn’t realized that the man in front of her had been drowning in hers. She couldn’t say that she felt the same way just yet, but she was ready to throw him a life jacket and bring him back to the shore. And when the time was right, she would let him jump back in with her wrapped around him.

Mujhe kaisa pata na chala, ke tu mainu pyar karda ae

Mujhe kaise pata na chala, ke mera hi intezar karda ae
