Just went through the pages...i don't honestly follow the avenger universe very closely. I'm one of those peeps who likes certain characters and thus watches movies and shows specific to them.🤷🏻♀️ So nothing to add.
I've been watching fleabag rn. I love the show. So there's that.
Arshi...you have no idea the amount of disappointment past few days have given me bb. From sharu's comment, to chandu's like😊 but what killed me like really did me in was sj. She destroyed all my love for her in a single stroke. Tbh, it had been years in making since what attracted to me her was that she was very open and easy with her fans and no pretense (much like chandu) but that had obviously changed over years but i still liked her a lot yr.
And to rub the salt in, the same day, nikks and me found out that she liked gal gadot's post on palestinian issue as well. 😊 and so I'm done with her.
As for chandu and sharu, I'm not gonna deny that i jave some emotional attachment (very unhealthy ik😒) esp. with chandu because (annika:)) but yeah, no I've no expectations from any single one of them.
Ah bless, you've had a rough few days it seems 😒 I get it, and obviously this issue is such that it really is pretty binary (you're either on the side of right or wrong). All I'd say is that sometimes, we all "like" things/posts/comments even if we're only in agreement with some of the sentiment, and not the whole issue. People can be very complex, and a like/comment isn't always an endorsement of an idea in its entirety. I guess for SJ, she's been the most closely associated with him over the last few years so feels she has a stake in this conversation. Plus with all of these actors, there must be a feeling of "if it can happen to him it can happen to me" which gets them scared. So publicly supporting a fellow actor they believe to be innocent is a way of saying "I hope you'd do the same for me" to their fraternity. That's not to say I agree with their stance, but just that it's not always simple.
Plus, and this is why I tend to stay away, Twitter to me feels pretty much like a mob fight...everyone gets involved in things that may not necessarily involve them, but being in that mob makes you feel like the anger is yours even when it's not. I've been there, hence why I decided not to let myself have expectations of other people (esp. celebs) again. We don't know what they know, or what their lives are really like. And ultimately just because we like one aspect of them (their on-screen characters, the off-screen persona they choose to share with us), it doesn't mean we know them. So having expectations of a stranger to me feels like a lost cause. It'll only disappoint us in the end.
But regardless of all that, there's a young person here who has suffered and will suffer either way, and she doesn't have hordes of stans clamouring to support her and trend in her name and raise funds for her or whatnot. She's the only one who matters in this scenario, to me at least.
