There are a LOT of ITV MLs who have had this issue in the past; some have even "hidden" their relationship and done so much drama where they would walk into and out of parties at different times but at the parties pose together in ALL pictures; they would lie about their interactions, on screen jodi fans also hated them and yet the ML got to 1m+ followers; maybe because of good looks; or because of superb on screen chemistry and scenes; or because of the nautanki where he did not admit to being with his now-ex-gf.

Neil however it seems is so disliked; which is a pity because he is a really REALLY good Viru; Vankar baba did fantastic casting for his ML and I cannot seen anyone else as Viru. Imagine if an expressionless, piece of wooden furniture was Viru; I would never EVER have been hooked to this show like I am now.

May be this role was offered to many guys

But there are other jodis also who worked together, they try not mix reel and real, until bigboss dint knew rashmi and sid were enemies or Hina khan and Karan Mehra don’t even talk to each other and do Romantic scene.

Yeah I agree. Nobody knew sid and rashmi were dating as well and then some thing went wrong. Even ravi dubey and nia sharma have good chemistry but none of these had a problem or anything came to media.

Not sure what is wrong here. Ash never says anything positive. Aree if u have nothing good to say then don't say anything. Why r u spoiling Neil image and the serial.

That's exactly the point; he did NOT; and now he doesn't know how to deal with it.

Just because he has been working in ITV for 10+ years does not mean he will know how to cater to the jodi fangirls who care about jodi and nothing else; also he seems like a seedha insaan and wouldn't have hired a PR consultant to tell him what article to release to the media; what to say at an interview;

He doesn't have the kind of PR that Balaji would hire for their damaad for example; or Dharma would hire for a Dharma kid. I gave VarIa's example; VD always catered to the VarIa fans despite being committed to Natasha; obviosuly the fandom knew BUT nobody hated on him to this extent. Then again he had the Dharma PR and marketing team. SP are not Dharma; as long as their show works; the don't care and SP very well knows that the online audiences having daily altercations with their show's parallel lead does not translate to low TRPs so they turn a blind eye and carry on.

TBH he is perhaps this honest and straight forward IRL and does not care if people like it or not; his whatever is perhaps also this abrupt and tactless IRL so says whatever and I doubt he cares about SM appeal.

As for fans; I am sometimes ashamed of being called a "fan" because of the antics and craziness of some; actually the word fan offends me to no end; I hate that I am grouped along side randoms whose harkatein are on a whole other level.

I think i have only always been one person's fangirl in life; everyone else i like fleetingly and get bored VERY easily.
