I think the shower scene is what helps Pallavi see a bit of his mental suffering. He stood by her when no one else did, during the abortion fiasco, and now it's her turn. She knows how it feels when everyone deserts you in your own home and no one wants to give you the chance to explain or prove you;re innocent. Nice closing of the loop.
