@charu: he did not call all his characters falwed. he was only speaking in reference to Farhad, that this character his flawed .. 'We all are flawed' .. We can also say that somewhere the writing is also flawed ..
As far as influence is concerned, it is what everyone takes away from it .. There was a dialogue that I had heard when I was watching Mahadev that 'I give what my bhakts ask for, how they use it is on them' .. Ignore that it came from a 'God' but the literal meaning is what gets applied everywhere today .. I took that at its face value and began seeing things differently .. for e.g. Parda or Karm .. they hold very simple meanings, just that us mortals interpret it differently ..
To your point .. his innocence, his love, his confusion, everything is fine .. His curse is certainly not, Mahi's suffering is also not .. BUT, his curse unfortunately came from a very unstable mental condition !! No sane person can walk away without retorting back ..
And Mahi's suffering came from a combination of her own doing & a clean heart .. when wrong collides with right, theres always unrest .. Else Mahi wouldve never felt guilty or wouldve never led him on ..
I agree completely..I got carried away with mahis suffering. It's her doing too and she will have have pay a price.
Trust me I love watching gray/flawed characters.. their flaws also need to be called out, not justified...like fk said ,it depends on where thy land..... there is a line which Farhad crossed ..which humza.also crossed..for their bleeding heart , they bestowed suffering on the ppl they loved. ..probably later in the show, a time will come when the writer balances it out.. sabki galati ki saza unko milni chahiye without any bias.
