Jinse ghussa zyaada hota hai, pyar unhi se zyaada hota hai. Ek ka baap nahin raha, dusre ka beta. The baap-beta bonding is missing in Raghav's life as is in Sanki's. Sure, Nikhil is there but he cannot replace the elder son, Mandaar. Beta jab bada hota hai to baap ka sahara hota hai. Nikhil isn't that guy but Raghav will be. There's a strong reason Sanki resents Raghav - he's jealous of him but also realizes that Raghav is everything he or Mandaar could never be.
Also, with Pallavi marrying Raghav, a part of Mandaar's memories that they cherished through her is also gone. Except he'll realize that Raghav will support Pallavi remaining close to her ex-in-laws, unlike other men. That will change something in Sanki one day, I'm sure.
